Thank you Allen for explaining the concept so nicely. I am pursuing a PhD and for my work, I need to optimize my samples using RSM. I need to use a Central composite Design for my three factors. but one of my factors ranges from 0.1 to 1 mMol. So, the suggested combinations show a negative value for this factor, which is practically impossible to weigh. What would be the best CCD design for my factors? I am confused regarding the selection of the best design for my work.

Great video, Paul! Is there a limit on the number of indepedant variables? I'd like to evalute seven factors and optimize the response... thank you!
@paulallen53212 жыл бұрын
The limit is how long each data point takes to collect or how much it costs. As you add more variables the number of tests get more and more. Personally I would stop at 11 variables. But if you really wanted more I'd do 2 DOE's with 11 variables each...

I am trying to analyze an experiment with 3 factors (Mix Ratios) that must tally to 100% on all 9 runs. How do I create the design firstly to tally to 100% and how do I analyze this experiment to know the influence of the 3 factors on the final result after testing such as strength. I’ve been in a dilemma of using the wrong processes and I need clarity on what I should do in this case
@paulallen5321Ай бұрын
Hi there the 100% issue is a tricky problem. You should us a mixture design, but I don't like them. I have a video specifically on this kzbin.info/www/bejne/aIfRaJ5njpVmpM0
