Hi JK - that is not really something I can teach you have to use your common sense. If you want to maximise the response. you might set the factor to that setting that achieves that. But if the factor is expensive and makes a small effect, then you might set it to its cheapest setting. A DOE gives you knowledge, what you do with that knowledge is wisdom and I cannot teach you wisdom...
