Calm Piano Music Relaxes Restless Bull Elephant

⬇︎Read more below⬇︎ Chaichana is a powerful male elephant that lives at Elephants World in Thailand. I’ve become very close to this elephant over the past few years and seen a gentle, sensitive side to his character. From time to time, mainly late afternoon, Chaichana will stop by the piano of his own accord. Sometimes when he’s restless (as at the start of this video) he quickly relaxes to several of his preferred pieces by Greig.

That was one of the most beautiful, poignant things I have ever seen! There is no doubt in my mind that that sweet elephant enjoyed every second of the piano pieces. (I played for 63 years and majored in it in college and used my music everywhere we moved in our 23 years and 18 moves in the Army.). Watching that precious elephant relax and lay down in the water’s edge, wiggle his ears, smile that BIG, amazing smile, sway to the music, nibble on his trunk and just soak up every note of the lovely music left no doubt in my mind that he enjoyed every minute. What a wonderful, kind thing this lovely man is doing for these sensitive, abused creatures so they can find peace and contentment in their old age! I wept tears of joy the whole time I watched! My dad was a music teacher at the High school in the small Illinois city I grew up in. When he played the piano at home our dog would curl up under the piano, and listen intently to the music, sometimes rolling on his back to show his joy, and excitement that the piano would provide for him. Animals know a lot more than we think they do.

Just beautiful. Not only elephants but domestic pets are calmed by relaxing, beautiful music, just as we are also. It very obviously affects the brain and nervous system. To see this huge and powerful animal totally relaxed and soothed by it, is a wonderful experience. If only we would treat all animals with the love, respect and care they deserve - we can learn SO much from them. They know and feel much more than most of us realise or believe they do. I don’t believe in souls but non human animals are no different than human animals. We may communicate differently but our worth is equal. Humans have a tendency to place human characteristics as the measuring stick to judge a beings worth but that’s just because we’re selfish, and practice speciesism.

@@danapaul3216 watch the end of the video,as the elephant walks towards the camara,then past it. It can clearly be seen he isn't shackled, though there are slight 'rub' marks on a least one of his ankles,most probably from his previous life as a logging elephant

This elephant was most likely held captive in a city due to its restless feet. Elephants have extremely sensitive feet and depend on ground vibrations in the wild. When they are held captive in major cities, constant vehicle and foot traffic will leave lasting effects on them. Once rescued, they will be seen exhibiting this behavior. Hopefully the music allows it to escape the sensation that now haunts it. Free the animals!

The pianist is Mr Paul Barton. He is a gifted man in many ways. He is also a well proclaimed Arts Oil Painter on Canvas. His paintings are beautiful beyond description. His little girl Emilie is a pianist & painter herself. She’s around 6 years of age. She also sings. She’s on many of Mr. Barton’s KZbin channel (s). His wife is gifted as well. I believe she’s an Sculpture Artist. A very talented & loviest family.
