I'm 15 minutes in and don't have a high opinion, but based upon your comment, maybe it will get much better. That happens. 30 minutes in. The writing could be tightened up a lot! Also, the hospital does a biopsy, finds a problem, but won't tell the patient? Not in a million years. Bad writing again.

The practice of not telling women their medical information and diagnosis, but telling the husband instead has thankfully gone down in the depths of mysogeny. I’m a Mexican-American born in Chicago (both of my parents were born in Mexico) who has watched and loved British mystery programs for more than forty years. Sometimes it’s a little hard for me to make out what’s being said because of some thick British accents, so I usually have the closed captions so I can understand what’s going on. Well, I’ll have you know that there have been many times that I’ve understood what was said and the cc got it wrong!! 😊

101:55: It would break my heart and boil my head to hear my spouse refer to our second child as making up for either the death or deficiencies of a first child. And then see what Nora has to say about _her_ parents, and you have it in a nutshell. Nice intelligent matter-of-fact young woman who's not afraid to look facts in the face. Bitter, of course, but who wouldn't be with parents like that. The mother especially is a bloody pain in the neck.

@annamarielewis70784 жыл бұрын
I have been saying this for years, and as a teacher, believe me, I’ve had plenty of reason to continue to think so. Why not? You need a license to drive a car, get married, and open a store. Rearing children is difficult and none of us is born knowing how to do it. There are many classes that are available, child development being the most important. Not too difficult to teach in high school, as part of the science curriculum, but no, it seems more important to to Mars.
