Folks, I still live this Dehradun every 2-3 months when I visit my parents. We walk Paltan Bazar, Rama market, buy stuff, eat street food, feel happy and bring back with us memories till next trip. We may be away from Dehradun for work but are deeply rooted to our City.

My grandpa was a sethji in Dehradun, he owned half of the Dehradun. He used to be known as seth Bal Gopal Das. We had so much fun when he used to be around us at that time. Thanks very much dadaji and thanks very much Paul Hamilton, this is for you💐💐❤❤❤💐💐💐💐💐💐

Thank you so much for old memories of Dehradun, That time I was living in a village of Dehradun called Banjarawala, for me is not easy to go every to see the paltan bazaar only maybe twice a month if I remember correctly.... Anyway thanks Paul

My grandfather had a shop in paltan bazar selling umbrellas in rainy season,wool in winter & mens vests in summer.The shop was right opposite Sindhi halwai shop in Paltan Bazar.My grandfather's name was Kirpal Singh Kohli & until the early seventies we lived on top of the shop , there was a big masjit right behind our house. The family moved to Race course in seventies & then to London Uk. Anyone in dehradun who remembers my Grandfather ?
