One of the best things I've found with roy taking over is being able to watch him improve from video to video. There's a little less awkwardness every time. Im invested at this point if for no other reason than i want to see how he develops his into his own style. Especially as someone ,i can only imagine, never expected to do youtube videos.

I had the privilege of meeting both Paul and Roy and some of the crew in person at one of the recent symposiums. A few of us hung around for a little bit after it was over, chatting with Roy about the channel, his ideas for it, and his experiences. I can assure you that the channel is a very good hands. Roy is enthusiastic about this channel, has a lot of great ideas for content, and is interested in feedback/ideas from the channel's fans. Future videos will only get better the more comfortable he gets with the whole process.

Paul, in the unlikely chance you read this, thank you so much for everything. I've learned a lot from you, and this channel has certainly helped me be a better and safer concealed carrier. No matter what happens, I will keep rewatching your previous videos fondly as well as future videos from Roy. My favorite video you have made was the 1986 Miami Dade shooting explanation. I also received your recent KZbin comment that I have won an exclusive prize! I put my credit card info in the link you attached so you can ship it, I can't wait! Roy, in the unlikely chance you read this, I appreciate you stepping up in these difficult times. I look forward to being mildly annoyed by your unique quirks before eventually falling in love with them as you continue the channel. You mentioned that you worked in law enforcement, I look forward to the lessons you can give us from your experience. And we better see some meat targets in the future with an explanation. Also please continue the the tradition of giving out prizes in the chat via an account with a name one character different from the genuine one!

My perusals over the last couple weeks have proven to be the opposite in my area. A few days ago I managed to find three boxes of 10mm at Cabela’s, while they had dozens of boxes of .40 and a jillion boxes of 9mm. And not many spots on the shelf for 10mm either. Seems that 10mm is more popular in some places than others. I personally don’t have one, I’m a 9mm guy primarily when it comes to pistols.

I don’t foresee getting into 10mm myself.. the cost and lack of availability of ammo is a factor, but also I don’t really see it as something I need or that would be beneficial for anything I do. @@Johnfisher12345 Yeah much like revolvers, shotguns etc they are less useful in most capacities, more of a niche tool. Makes a good 'woods gun,' is fun to shoot, powerful and good to reload etc, but less practical overall. I probably wouldn't buy another until I get serious about reloading.

This applies to any firearm that doesn't have a firing pin block, transfer bar or similar mechanism. The most likely would be single action revolvers such as Colt and replicas, or old model Rugers. I'm possibly one of the channels older viewers,( 77 this Sat-April 06 ). So many nice things being shared about Paul and his brother Roy I need not embellish on that subject. What is outstanding to me is to see how our mentor and family are handling the infirmity of an illness that was beyond their personal control. Age is a bit like that, it brings on a change in strength, physical appearance and abilities that I suspect none of us are in any hurry to embrace. The need for self defense including shooting skills does not change, but the ability to effectively provide them , for self and family , decline and show up right there in the mirror , every morning as you shave and of course at the shooting range . Perhaps Roy can receive advise on and produce a videos (or 2) to help us all do better as infirmity steals our youthful vigor and yet life leaves us with the same responsibility to protect and defend those we care for.The video Paul made about shooting from a bed was fun but I have watched it several times realizing how very real that scenario might be at this time in my life_ By chance Paul is the same age as our oldest daughter who was also born in 1966. I was serving in the US Air Force at that time.

Congrats on the 1 million subs! I have been watching this channel for years and cherish the information I have learned. Found Paul around the time I bought my first firearm at age 21 and got my ccw permit shortly after. Quite a lot of info for a person new to firearms but learning with Paul I always felt like he explained things even for someone who knows nothing. The firearms community as a whole is a great group of people which gives me hope for our future. Thank you for continuing the content Roy, excited to see what's next.

Paul Harrell is my generations John Wayne. My mom had cancer when I was a kid in the 80's. You can beat this. You CAN beat this. Paul, people beat cancer all of the time and I've never heard of you eating McDonald's. You'll be fine.

Depending how early it was caught, it may or may not be beatable. Unfortunately, with the type of cancer Paul has, until it reaches stage four, there are usually little to no symptoms. And once it reaches the point where there are symptoms, it's usually over quickly, in all the wrong ways.

Hey Paul...I hopy you're doing whatever the hell you want to do while you're away from the camera. Thanks for your content...it's really made a difference in how I think about firearms and self defense. Your content about building penetration really made me think about how I could try to reduce the risk of injuring my neighbors (or whomever/whatever is beyond my target) if I ever had to defend human life in my own home.
