I was running a bit behind… just finished watching the H&S before I came over here. 😃 SOTD- Maggard 30mm, Merkur Progress, Astra Green 2X, Mama Bear Honeysuckle soap, Thayers Lemon, British Sterling A/S, Dove Men+Care balm MOTD- Smashed cheese burgers with all the fixings (lettuce, onions, tomatoes, etc..), homemade sweet potato fries, grilled corn, and peach cobbler for dessert. And ice cold pear cider to wash it all down. 👍🏼🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿💐🪒🌶🍻

Nicely done Sir Paul💈💈 I've had that brush for awhile now, works perfectly and the cost is a plus as with all PAA brushes. When told Floid Black was being discontinued, I stocked up on several bottles as I did with Floid Blue back in the day, but there wasn't a soap to match, that's taken care of thanks to Doug and Fran. Wonderful arrangement today, beautiful..thanks Mrs H.. SOTD: PAA Cube, Tallow & Steel "Maya" soap/splash, Capt. I had recieved a free sample of the paa take on the black scent your using and after i put it on the scent entirely changed from when i put it on to maybe thirty minutes after. It truly was the gift that kept on giving!

Great shave Paul. My last shave was: Karve stainless steel with OC F plate (first time I'd used the plate F OC and found it very efficient). Gillette Nacet blade. Stirling Executive Man soap and matching balm. I got the Alpha Titanium Outlaw brush a few days ago from Executive Shaving. I've been eyeing it up a few times over the last 6-12 months, and Mrs TalsVids has said she will get me it for Christmas. She did tell me I could try it out once, before it went away to Santa. What a fantastic brush it is. Plenty of backbone, but still feather soft on the face, no scratchiness, insanely dense know which holds a ton of later. I can't wait till after Christmas, till I can use it again. Stay safe and I hope you and Mrs H have had a great weekend.

When I saw the thumbnail I said, "oooh Paul is gonna like this one". After years of watching your videos I think I have an idea about your taste in scents : ) Lord knows I've bought a product or two based on your endorsement! Think I tried a sample of Floid Black years ago and it wasn't my cup of tea exactly. Recently picked up a Hotel Cecil set from PAA. Excited to give that one a whirl. More Sunday goodies. Droid Black seems to be a hit with all the reviewers. It's on my wish list for sure. The Rockwell Model T adjustable looks to be a great razor. The Model T is a nice razor, but more aggressive compared to the 6c or 6s. Maybe the plate 6 is near the 1 or 2 setting on the Model T if that helps 👍💈💈 many thanks .

@@PaulHFilms That's good to know about the Model T. I am more inclined to use mild razors. I quickly discovered that the Rex Ambassador is "aggressive" for me even at the #2 setting. I rarely shave with it above setting #1. I love the 6S and can get great shaves with the R4/R2 plate. Thanks for the feedback.

I'm lucky to have a almost full bottle of Floid Black. That said, my order of Droid Black shave soap, aftershave, and bath soap has just been shipped! 😉👍 SOTD: Soap Commander Tenacity soap, splash, and balm. Happy Sunday Paul! Outstanding floral arrangement Mrs H; thank you very much!! PAA makes so great smelling soaps and aftershaves, I have my favorites (Atomic Bay Rum, CaD, Diver Down). In 2018, I went to a shave meet-up where I saw the Rockwell Model-T for the first time. I wanted to get one, but then I want to get many razors. Like everything in traditional shaving, if you buy everything you want, you soon be devoid of money. SOTD: King C Gillette razor loaded with a Gillette 7 O'Clock yellow Sharp Edge blade (5th use). Proraso Red shave soap lathered with a That Darn Rob 26 mm BOSS synthetic brush. Finished with Thayer's AF SF skin toner and 1960's MEM English Leather aftershave. I see the Model-T delivered a solid shave, Paul. Garlic Mashed potatoes; deliciousness! Sir, you have made my Sunday morning brighter. Look for the photos of the Kansas Sunflowers in your email. Good morning. Nice flower combination MrsH. That Rockwell Model T is a very beatyfull razor. It's on my christmas wishlist ;-) My SOTD was a my first use of the Mühle R41: Proraso green soap, The Cambridge Cuttroat synthetic brush, Mühle R41 with a Derby Extra blade, Solimo shaving oil on the blade, alum block, Bioré witch hazel, Proraso green aftershave and Wilkenson alum stick for one nick on the adams apple. My MOTD: vegan Jägerschnitzel with selfmade fries.

A great vid as always. I'm always surprised at how many shavers have never used floid black. It is hands down one of the best aftershave splashes I've ever uses. I can't believe they have discontinued it. I have almost a full bottle and am using very sparingly. I'm gonna get the PAA version and hope it smells close to the original. Hi Paul, could you please explain what you mean by "aggressive" razor or refer me to a previous video. Is it referring to the angle of attack of the blade ?

Aggressive is the amount of blade exposure, the larger the gap the more aggressive it feels, added to that the blade you use can also affect the aggression. For example, if you used a mild razor and put say a Feather blade in it, it would make that mild razor feel slightly more aggressive. Hope this makes sense.

@@PaulHFilms. Thank you Paul, yes, especially on the neck or throat where the throat chakra is. The whiskers go in all directions of the wind. There you can see that it is right with the chakras. My cheeks near the ear and below the chin. Yes today I tried your pick-up and adapted it a bit to me. And yes it is better than before without a pick up. It's good that my wife is modest. And she doesn't see it that closely. That's one of the reasons why we've been together for so long.

SotD: Gillette 1941 Ranger Tech, Gillette-India Super Platinum blade, 3rd (and last) use, OSP (Obsessive Soap Perfectionist) lime scented croap, an Omega Pro boar brush (that really ate the lather between the first and second passes), drug store witch hazel, CereVe medicated moisturizer as a balm, and Pinaud Lime Sec after shave. MotD: A chili with lentils and split peas substituted for meat and/or red beans, par boiled spinach with soy sauce to make it taste less boring, with the spinach's pot liquor added to the chili's cook water, and a baked butternut squash swimming in lashings of butter. Which would you recommend, Rockwell model T2 or a Gillette slim adjustable revamped/refurbished from razor emporium? Both are the same price range. I don’t have a twist to open adjustable yet. Lol

The Rockwell Model T is more aggressive than the slim adjustable, so I would place my choice on that, and which you like the look of best. I personally would pick the Gillette Slim Adjustable, as it’s one of my favourite razors.
