Oh this is wonderful! Sometimes I see all these amazing street photographers in the big cities, but feel so alone in the DFW (25 years shooting, but relatively new to street) Every time I go out I’m absolutely the only one shooting, but still I can’t help loving it. 30 mins away is a little town called Grapevine… I do a lot of my work there and I’ve got an exhibit right now at the Palace Theater, stop by if you can!

Been waiting for this one! I got to witness Perry shoot 6th a few months back. Wildly talented. Effortlessly picks out details and moments that are easy to miss in a chaotic environment. It's inspiring to see him elevate the mood, defuse a situation that could go sour fast, and be both bold and respectful at the same time. So glad to see it all again

Cops escorting someone: "take photos if you want, free country :) " Security: "you take photo I call cops" I swear security are so far up their own asses it's not funny, here in Australia I went to our equivalent of a state fair not long ago, police were patrolling as they do and definitely seen me taking photos of people and didn't care, as soon as the first security guard seen us he told us off, ironically using "there's public around in a public space" for the reason of why we couldn't shoot, like bro learn the law before speaking! Anyway, love Perry's work and attitude, good WT as per usual!

That cop gaslighting you like YOU were the weird one, when in fact there's a damn MONKEY on a dudes shoulder and you wanted a pic. I would have been like... "I thought that monkey was famous and those were his security guards." ... and I would have just made it a reality and kept asking that head of security about that famous monkey and if he was able to get an autograph and just went down this huge rabbit hole about if there was some way I could get backstage passes to see the monkey perform like that to make the whole interaction really weird and have him second guess his decision to stop and talk to me.

DFW does have some good spots for photography, and going to the Texas State Fair offers a lot of chances at images. I look forward to seeing the interview at your next location, wherever it may be. Perry definitely has a good eye, anticipates the moment, and gets a great image. His personality and temperament are well suited to street photography.

As mentioned before about this in another similar comment: If you used ten or more rolls of film each week for 9 years, along with expenses for film development and other related costs, you would likely switch to digital, too. I also sold my entire collection of cameras over the years to invest in this one camera, so it balanced out in the end. So, at the end I paid $100 for my Q2.
