Hi Anna - fellow Microblading artist here. It’s okay to keep your predraw on the brows and directly tattoo with ink on top of it. Just make sure that you’re using a sterile/disposable predraw pencil that you do not reuse on another client. Hope this helps!

I don't remove the pencils; pre-drawing is an unbelievably important part of the procedure. I use the markings as a guide to ensure I stay within the approved shape. In permanent makeup, nothing is left to chance, so I never perform pigmentation without a pre-drawn design. The pencils are disinfected each time, and the pencil tip is replaced for every client-broken, resharpened, and disinfected. Since the video is quite old and I'm catching up with everyone who has commented on my channel, I wanted to let you know that starting in September, we’ll be back on KZbin full-time. We'll be adding more educational content geared towards both individual clients looking for trusted permanent makeup salons and permanent makeup artists who want to significantly improve their techniques. There is another video where she shows this. She dabs on the numbing cream over the translucent powder, waits, and then scrapes it off with the hard part of the cue tip. I believe then she adds more translucent powder. It was a longer video. Sorry I can't remember which one.

Hello Marielle, Thank you for your comment. Depending on the client pre-drawing may take from 15-25 minutes. Before I start the procedure I talk to my client about her expectation. I don't show her outlined brows, in my opinion outline doesn't tell the client anything. She sees lines only. I show her brows once they are filled in and once they look nice!

Hello Alisa, if you are a beginner don't think about time but think about the result. Result is what matters! If it takes 1hour of your time but brows and pre-drawing is flawless- that's ok! but if you know you struggle, try to practice technique demonstrated on the video. Invite your friend and ask her to be your model so you can feel comfortable to play the video and practice with me at the same time. Do one step at the time play and stop the video and I am sure you will get it! Don't compare yourself with more advanced artists. Practice is the key and the more you practice the better you become. I would love to hear from you once yo try this technique! wish you luck and don't give up! beginning are always the hardest.

I have the same problem. The owner of the space I rent in a Spa, to do my own bussinnes, told me I'm too slow and clients don't want to be that much time (hours) lying down and that most of the time, they're short of time (2 hours the most). She told me that after a job took me 3 and a half hours to finish it. It make me feel bad because I am not fast as others PMU's in my City. That makes me feel too presure every time I work. I dont get it yet, still trying, but it has been too difficult to me to improve my time.
