It called Gymwheel or Rhönrad in German.

@@BTVRhoenrad interesting. Decades ago i saw a new show (60 minutes) where i could swear it was called a Fulda Wheel. Could find this online tho.

@@kdeuler just a guess, but as Fulda is a large city near the Rhön (a "group of low mountains" (quote: Wikipedia)) maybe it was called Fulda Wheel in English instead of Rhön Wheel because of the "ö" before it later was named Gymwheel for a more international / modern audience. From what Wikipedia says, this type of wheel as a gymnastic device was invented around the Rhön area, which I would count as a support for my linguistic theory.
