My good friend, Bill Hayes, was a longtime childhood best friend of Gary's. Sadly, Bill died of an undiagnosed heart condition a few years ago. But... not to bring you people down. Bill was very proud of his good friend Gary. And I was very happy to have know him. Bill was also a school teacher. And an all-over wonderful guy! Because of Bill, I would go see Extreme many times live at the "Living Room" in Providence. An awesome club, that unfortunately is no longer there. Some of my best 1980's memories. Thank you Bill, and thank you Gary, for all the 80's teenage memories. Keep on Killing it!

I don't know. I can't ask Bill, because he is dead. But I doubt Gary is a flamer. It's so easy to be a "Flaming Asshole" behind the guise of anonymity. You're everything wrong with this world. But for some strange reason, I like you. Because you are so closet GAY!

I remember Vivian Campbell saying in an interview when he first joined Def Leppard that it was one of the few bands he knew of that actually SING their harmony parts and do it well...but from a production standpoint, I do recall a lot of their stuff being fairly effects intensive. As for Extreme, Nuno stated one time that he, Gary, and Pat just kind of naturally fell into where they normally sit singing 3 part harmony...that it was almost effortless. My choice vocally would still be Extreme.

For a song whose subject material is so lighthearted, this song never fails to mesmerize me. The harmonies sound like something you'd here in church, and the note Gary starts holding at @2:35.. wow!! One of the most complex (harmony-wise) songs they ever did!

When Brian May makes a reaction video of one of your solos, how are you not more well-known? im no astrophysicist, but im in complete agreement with him about Nuno's riDONCulous playing. Saw these guys in Germany, promoting Pornograffiti and they did NOT disappoint!! Funny thing was that I was the isolated audience members who seemed to know any of their songs besides More Than Words. I still remember that Nuno played the intro riff to this twice as fast as he needed to, which created a weird distortion that sounded like very loud silence. His acoustic solo was utter madness, which impressed even the girls waiting for them to play MTW. What a great band! Thanks for uploading!

Have any of you seen the original video for this song, before Nuno, Pat, and Paul were in the band? All the non-Gary guys in that band look like the guys who would work in the guitar or drums department of the local mom & pop music stores that made most of their money renting/selling trumpets and clarinets to middle school band students. Then suddenly in 1984 they needed to stock guitars, drums, and amps because EVH exploded the rock scene through MTV and needed to hire the local long-haired guys to have a "cool" presence in the store to attract the pimply 12-year-olds who wanted to play rock and metal music. Those are the non-Gary guys in this band and I won't be convinced otherwise.
