I've never heard this song sung better by anyone other. I don't always like Paulini's song choices, but whatever song she sings, she has better voice control than any other female singer, and that includes original artists as well. Paulini is generally recognised to be a fine singer, though in reality she is the best the world has seen thus far. Mainly talking about the voice here.

Absolutely brilliant!! Her first performance and it only got better after this - and I understand she was very young and had no vocal training at this point. Why is she being ignored in Australia? This chick should move to the US where she might be more appreciated!

@dmerhts I agree. Her "breathing" is a part of Paulini's style and you know she's doing it because she's putting so much into her performance. All it does is enhance the singing and the feeling/soul she exudes. Have you seen her recent performance of Faure's Requiem in the ABC tv show? do a search for it. Very beautiful.

This girl is one of the best singers around today - and not just in Australia. Pity the world of "pop music" isn't necessarily interested in great singers tho. Oh and she takes big breaths to sustain those incredible notes. I think people aren't used to hearing proper singing - they get so used to autotuned mics and weak vocals smothered in techno effects.
