Hey Paul, I commented a few times. It’s incredible that our mucinous Appendix cancers are following similar paths and timeline. I was diagnosed nearly the same time, July ‘23, have been recovering from a few surgeries since, and 3 weeks ago determined NED from my CT scan. Thanks for your videos, you have no idea how much watching our parallel experiences with emotions, treatments, testing, good news/bad news, and everything that comes with this specific diagnosis helped. i can't go out in sun too much because I'm too pale- I have been supplementing for over 10 years with no issue- Take your Vitamin D with Vitamin K-to prevent hypercalcemia. I'm at around 80 every year when I get tested. Good news, so happy you are doing so well these days!

Paul, I’m so happy to hear such wonderful news of your CT scan. Cancer, no matter how small or large, the disease is changes a person and there should never be a shame in that person’s game to feel different for feeling it. Having had cancer myself, I am different today than before, and my journey was not anywhere as complicated as yours, but it was cancer nonetheless. I’m happy to hear you are beginning to truly live again instead of planning to die, I wished everyone could have this same wonderful news. You’ve truly been to the brink of hell and returned. It’s okay to be happy and to ask, was it all worth it? Heck yeah, it was bloody well worth it! Congratulations, and enjoy your holiday with Caroline down south and when you find the right occupation to rejoin the workforce you’ll know it but until that time, enjoy life! You’ve earned it.

I’m so happy for you Paul! I have a vitamin D deficiency too and am currently on a high dose of vitamin D that is taken once a week. I don’t know about Australia, but the UV index in the northeast of the US isn’t very high. We are still encouraged to use sunscreen. I’m not preaching, I’m just thinking about your health seeing how you’re now cancer free (yay). Stay healthy and strong! We are so proud of you and how far you’ve come. It’s incredibly brave to see all you have gone and been through. It takes a scary experience to realize that life is fragile. It makes you feel like you should live every day as if it was your last, because you never know. Take care of yourself and I hope you find a job or hobby that makes you happy and feel fulfilled ❤

When I first started conversing with you in the months prior to your illness about my mazda (with which you were my main source of knowledge and someone who gave me the courage to attempt things I otherwise would never attempted) I could never have imagined how you would be tested to the limits of human perserverance. I actually found it painful just to witness your ongoing fight so I cannot begin to imagine how you have got to this point. An inspiration to never give up, I hope that i can draw from your story in my life as I face the struggles I feel unable to bear. Several years ago I was having unexplained issues and while my MD said “all of my labs were normal “ my friend who is an osteopath insisted I get my vitamin D level checked. My MD reluctantly did and my level was 4. Yes 4. I’ve always been an outside person so it wasn’t a lack of being outside. I started taking vitamin D supplements at 20,000 iU daily and it finally went to the low normal range. Over time I have been able to keep it in range with 10,000 iU daily and will continue indefinitely. Your mentioning how important it is is a great one!!! Glad you’re doing so well!!

Ive followed your journey from early on and seem those moments when hopelessness nearly overwhelmed you & it seemed the only thing left was to try to come to terms with it and wrap up loose ends. It took great courage to fight!! Two grueling surgeries, one with a very long and complicated recovery; learning to live with a stoma, and lingering peripheral neuropathy, and not ever certain where it would all lead. And yet...here you are!! Smiling, looking terrific, the healthiest you've been since you started this channel, and planning a nice holiday with Caroline at your side. I'm thrilled that for now, the only "unknown" is how to shift mental gears from simply surviving to actually living and thriving!
