7:00 I call bull shit, Olanzapine was given to me to treat "agitation" and it only made me sleep for 12 hrs and wake up pissed off at everything (if I was even able to wake up that day). It's pure garbage.

A recent grand rounds from Harvard featuring a psychiatrist expert on Omega 3 and bipolar said people with bipolar should not eat fish more than three times a week due to a risk of rapid cycling mixed states. Video is on KZbin.

With the carbamazepine/oxcarb warning for patients of Asian descent, the video makes it sound like there's an absolute contraindication for use. My understanding was that the medications can be used if HLA typing for HLA-B*15:02 comes back clear.

Cyclothymia is a form of bipolar disorder so the same drugs are often prescribed.
