+Mario M yeah, it's just insane, just that moment when you look at the speedometer when it hits the 290km/h mark, it just hits the 299 km/h in like 1-2 seconds, definetly restricted, but it's also HEAVILY restricted, otherwise people could remove it and make theyr death inevitable (seeing as the bike would lose balance after the 299 km/h mark.

Oh Man I used to love my good old and reliable Yamaha R 1s ( I owned 3 of them ) I toured on them all over Europe with luggage and everything else I needed for two weeks away. Apart from being fast is also very comfortable, lots of leg room, very relaxed to ride. This video reminded me when I had the urge to have a go at it and what a joy it was when it was possible. I like how you shift your gears ( Unless you've got a quick shifter on it ..) The stability on it is so reassuring that makes you want to go faster, you hardly feel the wind ( Providing you've got a higher screen ) When I saw my 185 mph - 298 kph it didn't feel I was going that fast, it felt as I was passing the cars slowly at that speed..Nevertheless on another occasion I went faster without the luggage naturally, very satisfactory indeed with the R 1 in every respect, mind you I always had Yamahas.. Lol

The gauge is limited to 299 but RPM is still restricted.. In USA bike doesn't go above 300-303 kph (gps).. Maybe in Europe it's less restricted.. In newer models, even gouge is not restricted to 299 and show more speed after tuning..

I've ridden a mates R1 crossplain crank model and I can honestly say it's unbelievable. I've been riding for 37 years and had most bikes. That thing was in first gear going round a roundabout, I kept trying to change down as it seemed too high but I was in first!! Then I opened it up. It was like a powerful scooter as first was so tall I did 90.. I don't know what speed I was doing until I slowed down to the other cars speeds. I looked down,I was doing 90, it felt like I could get off and walk it felt that weird.
@CikguSyawqi Жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you meant by 'tall', maybe because English isn't my first language, but I think I know what you meant by trying to change down, because I rode the 2010 R1 for about 8 years. Yes, the bike doesn't like to go slow as it felt like it would stall. It needs more fuel, but then adding fuel just made it want to go too fast. Was a great bike to have. So much power, so much happiness 😄
@Wolf_9499 Жыл бұрын
@@CikguSyawqi he meant the first gear goes to very high speed ( tall ) , there are bikes who go max 90km/h on first gear ( thats short ) , and the r1 goes around 130-160 means the first gear is tall

That's a law on german highways. u always have to drive as far right as possible and u aren't allowed to pass anyone on their right. So the leftest lane is pretty much only for passing someone or driving fast

This is actual nice to watch. No crazy shit going on. Just riding 300+ km/h on a mostly empty patch of Autobahn. Even slowed down and waiting until it cleared up in front of you and then gradual accelerated back to 300. Just a nice video to watch... I am bored with videos of people ripping thru gears flying in between cars ... This is actual the safest way going about it ...
