I bought the Accord and am very happy with it. Only negatives: no garage opener in the mirror, no Sirius, no overhead 360 degree camera. Superb gas mileage (better than posted), lots of power and a joy to drive.

Just traded in my 2014 Accord Sport for 2024 Sport. I love driving it, love how it looks, and plan to keep until 2034.
@Jazz16-we1qc5 сағат бұрын
Was your 2014 a stick? I had one. Should have kept it. Would have lasted a long time. But at 100k, I had the fluid changed for the manual trans on it, and the clutch never felt good after that. I don't think they did it right. So I sold it and got the 1.5T version, 2020, and that is one tight, incredible engine with that turbo. Just had to change the oil very often because of oil dillution... sold it during pandemic because I got full price on what I paid for it with 42k on it ($23,000) and then bought a 2022 Ridgeline. (38k). What an amazing engine it has - 3.5 liter, naturally aspirated, direct inject, SOHC, Vtech... whoooahhhh.....

@@Jazz16-we1qc I kinda wish I had gotten the manual but I got an incredible deal on the 2014, I also do a LOT of city / suburb traffic driving so I probably would have regretted all the shifting. The automatic drove great so I can only imagine how fun the stick is. Honda just gets lots of things right in their cars - balanced all the way around between comfort, style, zip, economy, resale, reliability, etc
@Jazz16-we1qc2 сағат бұрын
@@heartpath1 It was a bit of a pain in traffic having a stick. Getting an automatic was the end of an era for me and was hard to change. The stick was a part of me in every car I owned til i was in my 40s. Auto transmissions are expensive to repair. But that's just how it goes.

Hey Paul, excellent review. I have the exact same car but in graphite. I love the car, best purchase I've made so far. Bought mines this past October. Everything you say about the car is exact, the only thing is the ventilated seats are kind of okay, you can barely feel it at max but that is insignificant because the car excels in every category. I'm getting 52.5 MPG by the way but I drive in eco mode while utilizing the paddle shifters frequently.

Excellent point. 40k for a sedan is crazy, especially with interest rates at 6%. Better off getting the 1.5T LX, which starts at 28k. Those hybrids are gonna cost a fortune to fix as time goes by.

Hi Paul. Thanks for the great review. Been car shopping for a few months now and it's really between this and the Civic Touring (which is now coming in hybrid as you noted). I like the looks of the Civic more but like how the Accord is a bit more refined naturally as it's a step up. I'm trying to wait for the Civic hybrid to hit dealerships to make my decision but I may just jump to the Accord as my current car is on its last legs and am afraid dealerships will play the markup game again since it will be new and finding Civic Touring/Sport Tourings was already difficult. I'm a bit stuck on what to do. As a Civic Touring owner yourself and with the hybrid coming what would you do? Again thanks for the review!

@@Joseabh24 It's still 40k. And what do you really get in the highest trim? A moonroof, leather seats, and a real stereo system. Either way for many people it's just too much. My parents once bought a house for 40k! And houses gain value over time. Cars depreciate. And today's cars aren't as reliable and cost a fortune to fix. Interest rates are high to boot. I'm thinking it'll be better to wait till they are discounting the 1.5T's and just get one of those- interest rates may be much lower too. 40k is just too much, without wages going up, and also with inflation on EVERYTHING.
