I reckon it takes a lot more nerve to stand up and show that you're not nailing everything. The camera does tend to flatten the trails, but these were damned steep even before accounting for that.

Been following the channel for a while now. Live in the Channel Islands, and currently a line with some roots and rocks really testing me and unable to complete...yet. By showing the gradual progression, and your ability as a rider improving endears the audience. "Self employed business decision" = Must be able to ride another day soon as the bills don't pay themselves. Good call I laughed at the 'Dramatic reenactment' 2 times as I checked out this video twice EDIT:- Last week I was checking out 'The Loam Ranger' and his 360degree video (from 2 years agou) over on VeeR through Oculus rift. Ever since, I now see normal videos (like this) and my mind now understand how bloody steep some of these runs are. PS, third time going through this video.

Good job Paul! I know the GoPro effect was turned up to 11 on this one. The trees on the trail looked like they were growing almost parallel to the mountainside. That's when you know shit is steep.
@PaulThePunter4 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a really steep place for sure!
@hobmarg4 жыл бұрын
Sun Peaks is rad. The thing that makes stuff like Honey Drop hard is you need speed/momentum on the scary parts, you can't creep into off camber turns or those gully/rut style steep turns... but committing and carrying momentum is scary AF! I honestly think Honey Drop is harder than any Whistler double black (besides the option lines on Goat's Gully). The Whistler double black tech trails are not steep (other than a few rock rolls). They purposefully don't build them steep because they will be eroded immediately, kind of a shame.
