I was your second opponnent! Game 1 was close but game two was sad, mull to 6 into one lander that didn't get anything from the draws. Maybe trying to get more lands from synth was wrong but dunno. Anyway, keep up your work, you're in inspiration!

Yeah, mulligans with Red into one landers are rough. You know you should really keep it, but you can't really afford to mulligan anymore. Always nice when one of my opponents comments on a video. I hope the rest of you league went better than this game! :)

@@Kirblinxy I did some math: one landers on the draw are a 50/50 while on the play are 30%. If you have a synth or monkey+kuldotha they go up to 66 and 50 respectively.

"I guess we will cycle this " Turned into "I guess we totally color screw them " Cool deck

Well, I knew it would be a Stone Rain, wasn't expecting the complete colour screw, so that was a nice bonus.

Love this! I tried for awhile a long time ago (way before Brave) to make a similar deck work, but I was working just with simic colors, not the current gruul ramp package. This was definitely way more effective than anything I managed to goldfish (I kind of gave up on the deck after awhile because it was clear not all the pieces were there). I definitely hope someone updates and plays the deck more! especially would be interested in seeing it vs faeries varients (which somehow are always overly prevalent where I play). maybe torch the tower instead of galvanic for reliability, though not quite as much damage? I like the idea of putting Tamiyo's in the main as well

Fae seems sort of 50/50 in theory. Snap on creature lands is not a fun time, but they don't like Chrys or Breath Weapon. Deck was a fun experiment with and I don't know if this is still the right shell for this idea. Maybe Jund is still the way to go and just fit Brave in Jund Wildfire or cut Blue from Affinity and make Brave the Kenku in that deck. Deadly Dispute just too tempting not to use when you have artifacts in your deck. I just want Harmonious Emergence to be good, card just looks cool.

@Kirblinxy harmonious emergence was probably the card I was like "this is cool, let's build this!" After it came out. I also did like wind zendikon at the time but it wasn't going to be good enough. I definitely think the artifact lands are a good way to go for being indestructible, and I'll admit that jund deck you played vs made me feel very interested in jund, and I had to sit back and think is it because it's better or just because I'm partial to jund. Jund+ for kenku might be interesting,

You mentioned wanting more card advantage...what about Thoughtcast? That's p-legal and good with the bridges? I think the deck might also work with lotus petals, to further accelerate your wildfires and fatties. Swirling Sandstorm is a nice sweeper for other rampy decks or snakes where breath weapon falls short

I understand the decision to play the burn package but after playing a few rounds at my LGS and in testing I think the better build is Jund Fog build. Using a variety of sweepers and stallers to get to a point where you have an indestructible board state and they can't push the damage through to you. It's still weak to the Nightblade/Broodscale combo but the Trespasser's Curse post-sideboard has been very effective.

The black draw package is still incredibly viable. Losing Kenku sucks but the Kamigawa land enchantments are still solidly playable.
@Kirblinxy

Yeah, the Deadly Dispute engine is so good it's warping so many decks around it because it is the best thing you can be doing in pauper. Like I said at the end, I think Jund Wildfire is probably just better, could be cool to try Harmonious Emergence in that (sounds almost like you built) just to see if it can work there.

I think you need more draw cards, Kirb Keeping bolts in hand maybe to remove creatures or finish the game isnt ok imho. If you draw more resources to build your board with your big monsters or maybe creating more indestructible creatures to win is better than with burn spells. Galvanic is the best choice, but i prefer use at least one of each artifact lands that are not indestructible to deal 4 damage in the late game. Nice build huh? I will try at my local store tomorrow and i'll comeback with my thoughts

what about using black to add krark + toxin? maybe like a jund wildfire shell with 4 galvanic instead of snuff out + cast down, and with just 4 brave the wilds and 2 darkmoss bridges

I think it is a decent way to try and take Gruul if you don't like the cascade versions. Just wish for a little card advantage. Could it possibly be Mulldrifter time again?

Or cut the blue package and play it jund for Ichor and dispute. I feel like you shouldn’t have too many animators anyways since it’s always good to diversify threat package

@@vladdogarel263Corrupted Zendikon is in black, but doesn't give evasion. The red Zendikon at least gives trample. Or you could just go all in with harmonious emergence and/or Nissa's Zendikon.

I think Chysalis is just too good to ignore which is why we want to stick with Red. Gets is right though, should just be Jund Wildfire as Dispute and Chrysalis too good to not play.

Looks like a sweet list, love me some 8-bolt. Ever since the Opal unban I've been playing practically this same deck (temur ponza) in Modern, except with Boom//Bust, Sowing Mycospawn, Urza's Saga, Thoughtcast, and ofc Opals to power everything out. Been absolutely dominating, Ponza ftw.
@Kirblinxy
@Kirblinxy Күн бұрын
I guess opal helps speed up the deck from the main downside of all these tapped artifact lands. I remember when RW Wildfire was a thing in Mordern, that deck was cool and it sounds this sort of like a mix between that and Affinity. Sounds like a fun time (Until they play Karn :/).
@ubertuna1
@ubertuna1 20 сағат бұрын
@@Kirblinxy Exactly, you can play taplands turn 1-2 and still make a 2 mana play, or hold up an extra mana for a bolt or Gleeful Demolition. With Darksteel+Opal+Bauble you can wildfire or boom on turn 1 even. Karn is tough but the manabase I use is 10 darksteel/bridges, 4 saga, and 4 ghost quarter with 4 basics, so we're not %100 reliant on artifacts. The land destruction effects are also particularly effective vs. most of the decks that run Karn.
