I just love biology discussions, though one thing about evolution that is often misunderstood is that there's a need for evolutionary pressure for traits to evolve. The thing with evolutionary pressure is that it doesn't decide what traits that appear, it does how ever act as a filter for which are more likely to be successful. Also sometimes traits can have strange effects that give the creature a new possible niche that it usually didn't occupy (which can lead to the population splitting between niches and in the end even separating in to two new species). So that terrestrial traits might allow for survival in space is not completely unthinkable, especially since there's studies that show that both cyanobacteria and possible pollen and fungi spores could survive space but using different strategies (so it's not a commonly shared trait).

Curious why decks like this choose Crypt Rats over Pestilence. 1 more mana but it can burn the opponent out and the key creature being x/3 means it can sweep x/2s all day. Thoughts?

good idea - probably just unearth tricks gives it the edge imo :)

Well you give enchantment hate a target, cant reuse it with unearth and its slower. But try it i guess, just feels not worth it If you want the 4 mana clock, perhaps a one of the inheritance enchantment

1. You can't play Pestilence on a board with no creatures 2. Crypt Rats sacrifices to your Deadly Disputes and whatnot 3. 3 mana is a lot less than 4
