There is a big mistake the in video regioselectivity should be opposite. "Good levels of regioselectivity can obtained, with the large alkyne substituent adopting the position 'Adjacent' to the carbonyl group in the product(s). Reference : William Carruthers page no. 86

Mam, in last example chiral auxiliary is present then incoming group should attack from below the plane. Yes syn product should be formed. But, it should below the plane
