Luciano Pavarotti answers a few questions after the first act of the Metropolitan Opera's 1977 production of La Bohème.
He talks mainly about his performing superstitions, the "Italian Tenor" sound & the way he experiences his own voice whilst singing.

Inesquecível vc PAVAROTTI permanece vivo no coração de alguém por isso não morre nunca. Maestro PAVAROTTI magnífico, sua voz aquece nossos corações e nossas almas como o Sol aquece a Terra. Perfeição em ser humano iluminador do mundo do insuperável coração bondoso.

Madrugada no Brasil, estou ouvindo PAVAROTTI ,faz bem a alma, ao meu coração, meu espírito, a minha vida. PAVAROTTI imortalizou e popularizou a ópera para o povão sem conhecimentos musicais cantados e interpretados. MEU maior ídolo, inesquecível, vive sempre em meu coração que bate sempre de saudades de você PAVAROTTI. Sua voz poderosa, harmoniosa, sublime ...soa sempre com grande carinho, afeto p. deus fãs. Tradução para o português do Brasil desejando muita paz junto a DEUS.

for me whatever critics may say of his acting who gives crap. what he may not have had as far as an actor...he more than made up for in his AMAZING voice.

Remembering "Live from the Met: La Boheme" starring Luciano Pavarotti and Renata Scotto, this special first ever aired as part of PBS' Festival '77 (PBS' 3rd national fundraising and public awareness campaign) across the country including my own station: KPBS San Diego, Circa Tuesday March 15th, 1977, on my local station: KPBS San Diego have replaced the interviews of Luciano Pavarotti from Live from the Met: La Boheme by membership pledge breaks for Festival '77, Some Great Things to See on Public TV!!

I appreciate Tony Randall saying he thought Pavarotti was a good actor. I think Pavarotti was often unfairly criticized for poor acting.

@ShawDAMAN A lot of people tended to criticize Pav as a poor actor because of his lack of mobility. I didn't really see their point- yes, he was impaired in movement, specially towards the end of his career, but everything else was working. I guess some people have the expectation that everybody be trim, handsome and ripped. Ugh.

THE Italian tenor, he got that right, the best male voice of all time, according to a phenomenal music expert leone magi era.

Cracks, for Pav, were rareties, not the rule.

Could have been worse. He didn't really crack the C. Of course being the first Met telecast he would have liked to perform his best but that never happens does it? It was a fine performance otherwise - wish they could've cast someone other than Scotto for the Mimi though (sorry Scotto fans).
