Наверное, сам Павел Герасимович Лисициан был бы удивлён, что у него был тенор... П.Г.Л был и остаётся непревзойденным интерпретатором почти всего вокального репертуара, был и остаётся нашим всеобщим любимцем, обладателем лирического баритона исключительно прекрасного тембра и безупречной техникой. Светлая память блестящему вокалисту и светлому человеку ( о его удивительных человеческих качествах до сих пор ходят легенды в кулуарах Большого театра)

EVERY NOTE THE MAN SANG WAS A VOICE LESSON. ALL YOUNG SINGERS SHOULD LISTEN TO THE "VINDEX ARIA" FOR AN EXAMPLE OF NEAR PERFECT PRODUCTION. WHAT IS NOW FASCINATING IS TO SEE THE VIDEOS AND THE TOTAL LACK OF PHYSICAL EFFORT OR FALSE SUPPORT IN HIS SINGING. THIS EXAMPLE IS NEAR AS PERFECT. I HAVE LOVED HIS ART FOR SOME 65 YEARS AND MY LOVE CONTINUES. I WILL TURN PAGES FOR HIM IN THE WORLD TO COME. MY ADONAI BLESS ARMENIA. LOVE FROM A CHAZZAN

Easily one of the best versions ever. He also made an An Die Musik with piano accompaniment, which is superb. After this it's hard to listen to today's baritone-crooners.

Wow... So different! It's fascinating how many completely different interpretations there can be for this song and they still sound completely logical. But for crying out loud - HOW does one achieve such breath control?! Does he have 10 litre buckets for lungs or something?
