Why did Solzhenitsyn have to write his books in micro letters on pieces of paper and hide them in his socks, and were only published in 30 years after ? Like so many other works. Tarkovsky, Strugatsky brothers , etc had to film or publish overseas. Да, тот самый. Альбом записан был, когда Павел Борисович был дирижером только эстрадной группы Оркестра комендатуры Московского Кремля (читать: Президентский оркестр), а в 1995 году он возглавил сам оркестр

Despite all the excellent communism jokes...honestly, by 1982, most of the intellectuals in the USSR had given up on communism... you could argue that this music represented nostalgia for the 1950s/60s when the country had much more optimism about its future. The authorities certainly didn’t mind!
