From all the male Latin Dancers I have seen, Pavel has the most proportionate body built - long legs, lean body, long arms and gracefulness. I have admired seeing him dance in competitions even if he did not win. His show dances with the different dance partners were all beautiful to watch. In this particular dance, his facial expressions reflected the beauty of the music.

He is an exceptional dancer. He can do so much artistically and show so much emotion where it's needed, it's almost unbelievable. And is not the dance made for emotion? We tend to forget about it looking at some other finalists. Pavel is the most talented of them all. He has much more than just excellent technique. And he is lucky to dance with Polina, he can show his talent with her like with no one else. Everybody around them is just doing the steps, but they are really dancing and shining in their dance. Every look, every touch means something. For me there is never a question about why they are doing what they are doing. Looking at other couples I often don't understand why, as if they did not know what they want to express, it all looks so simple concerning emotions that often becomes not interesting to watch. No amount of technique can be a substitute for it.

He is too concentrated, and has obvious difficulties with the music. If he could just relax and spontaneously dance.

It's one of his best performances, he is completely inside his role and is concentrated on it. Not on the audience or just on his own movements, like Kirill usually does, but totally on his communication with Polina and on this music. This is the most important in rumba, because it has so much sense, his dancing is very meaningful. Kirill's dancing is often superficial.

I don't know if he understands Spanish, but his dancing matches the words of this song so well.

@@Maria_Fomina The difference is striking when you compare with Troels (and Ina). And with, in my eyes much, better rumbas P & P have danced before. I also think he is not in the music and moving very well, some times. I furthermore don't find the excitement of Polina in this dance. I hope he learns from Troels and his way of moving, and not being over-intensed looking, and find back to his heavenly, fantastic World and International performance.

@@helgechristophersen7665 It's a rather sad and dramatic song. He is loosing her love, she is leaving him and he is begging her to stay just for one night. It would have been strange if she had been excited in such a situation. I am not sure about them listenting to the words, but they certainly feel the music and can guess what this song is about. Maybe it's just a coincidence, but they act just like the song dictates. She's already not quite with him. He's very intense in his wish to make her stay, and he can't be lighthearted as he knows that tomorrow she will leave him anyway.

@@Maria_Fomina with all due respect for your tender feelings for P and P, you really have a tendency to superimpose your own highly imaginative and, to be honest, often fantastical reading of their rumba directly onto their dancing, speaking about what they do in their rumba performances with such confidence as if it were you yourself dancing in their mind and bodies, which is clearly not the case. When we offer an interpretation, whether in visual, performing, or literary arts, we should always do it with due sensitivity to the author of a given work, never conflating our own interpretation with that of theirs. I have noticed that you have a hard time separating yourself from the OTHER (that is, P and P), which is unfair to what they do as dancers because, in grafting your interpretation onto theirs, you inevitably claim sole authority over their dancing. Some self-awareness just has to kick in at some point, don't you think?
