Paving by the Numbers for Cat® F-Series Pavers with Vibratory Screeds

Hey cat we have a 1055 paver one of my Forman’s is running the paver with the screed assist down on while paving. All of the instructional videos I have watched show just the float activated. Will there be a negative outcome from running the machine like that thank you!

The "paving thickness" procedure is incorrect. Might be for this specific paver screed setup, but there was no indication as to which, so im assuming you are generalising this procedure, which is false information across the board unless you have THAT setup. CAT NEEDS to make an updated video instructing the CORRECT procedures as to how to operate its equipment. LINE OF PULL or TOW LINE is the correct way to set "paving thickness"
