I like the USB C. But yeah these are about $5 more than the standard price of the B7C in the US. I like these bulbs. They look a bit softer too.

The elephant in the room is the Astera NYX bulb which is excellent, also available with a bayonet fitting and has Lumen Radio

Fantastic review! ❤️

A big plus for the pavopulb in my experience is the fact that it's a bit shorter and less directional. If you put it in a desk lamp for example, the Aputure tends to stick out more. Which kinda ruins it, because you can't sell it as a practical anymore. So I would definitely go with the pavo bulb with more real life use cases, the numbers aren't that interesting. It functions more like an actual lightbulb.

@michael eggler Great review! Since you have both is the Nanlite gear also compatible with the Aputure Sidus Link App and vice versa? Thinking of buying also Nanlite stuff but I don't want to deal with two different apps on set.
@MichaelEgglerFilms2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No Sidus is for Aputure and Nanlink for Nanlite.

Hi! great video! Can you tell me what effect filter you use on the lens?
@MichaelEgglerFilms2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! Sure, that would be PolarPro mattebox with a mist filter during the review. The intro was shot on anamorphic lenses from Sirui, so no filter there =)

the pavobulb is not as bright as the Aputure?? In one of the video made by the guy from Nanlite mentioned that the Nanlite bulb without the battery allows it not be limited by the battery power output, thus allowing it to be brighter, but this is clearly not the case?
@MichaelEgglerFilms2 жыл бұрын
The PavoBulb is brighter in actual use. The B7C from Aputure is only brighter when measured 1m away, since it is more directional. When you look at my final comparison shot, you can clearly see that the scene is brighter with the PavoBulb🤙🏻

Also, do you think this bulb could work for a cheap softbox light?
@MichaelEgglerFilms2 жыл бұрын
That really depends on your needs. If you look at my intro- this was all shot with one bulb and the high ISO of the Sony A7S3. If that works for you, go for it.
@saidcisneros29332 жыл бұрын
Interesting that this is brighter than the B7c
@MichaelEgglerFilms2 жыл бұрын
Well it kinda has a higher wattage, so that makes a lot of sense👀
