Roi R. Czechvala while it can be, according to the Library of Congress using gloves can make it easier for slip-ups to occur especially with paper. Since cotton gloves remove a lot of tactile feedback. So that’s why the Library of Congress doesn’t use gloves but does request users wash their hands prior to handling sensitive materials. I spend a lot of time at the University of Houston Archives and they are of the same opinion

I am from Italy and the one you find online are reproductions made in china. Among the real ones somewhat common are not carved bronze but made of clay. Bronze is more rare. Nicely carved bronze is quite rare. In that condition with the pin still swiveling properly after 2000years? Very very rare, museum piece. 40k? Maybe not but definitely over 10k. Condition and complexity is the key. To me that piece seemed in exceptional good condition.

I do have to say that out of all the experts I see on this show.... Dr. Phineas Kastle is by far my favorite. Something about that facial hair.. those insane hats just his whole vibe that he has some epic backstory... but it never gets mentioned because he's not here to talk about himself... that just gives me joy every time i see him.
