He reads people well, very few customers come in confident like this guy. He likes to throw the " I'll give you such and such for it and not a penny more" and thats when most customers crack and its game over.

How old are you people? Like damn. It's a set. Yes, the people coming in with cool stuff is real. But it's not the actual pawn shop. It's a " behind the scenes " set up. If the people agree to do a shoot. They get paid plus the money from there item. It's not fake it's real but it's made for entertainment. Think about it.

3:41 going by the poses, the seller is dominating/intimidating rick. he crosses his arms and spreads his legs to balance himself as in a fight stance. rick puts his hands in his pockets and leans on the wall to try and appear relaxed/non-threatening and is subconsciously being submissive by doing so. When the seller demands "you gotta step it up" rick tries to shift power to himself by half-mockingly only raising the price by 100 bucks, but he breaks eye contact while doing so. When the seller asserts 9 grand, Ricks fight or flight instinct kicks in and he chooses flight. Rick still gets the final word, but the power struggle is there and the seller got an extra 2000 out of the original price out of it.
@ShardTown
@ShardTown 4 жыл бұрын
in the end the seller acknowledges the power struggle and feigns(?) defeat by half mockingly(?) saying "I'll let you win this time". I think the seller got what he wanted, and lets rick think he won by letting him make the final word/offer.
