That's the difference between selling to a specialist and selling to a pawn shop. Pawn shops know that people coming to them usually need cash now, so they can underbid. But if you notice Rick would have given 2000, maybe as much as 2200 for it and this guy would have come back with more stuff. By tightfisting Corey insured he'll go elsewhere. Rick would have noticed the magic words, and made sure when he gets more he'd come to Rick, not risk an auction, or take the time to find people who just deal in what he's got.

Yeah he should at least held at 2. For a few reasons one he said their are a lot of collectors who love this stuff. So it won't be hard for them to find a buyer. Also if you pay attention to the wording they dude said he'd easily get 3 to 3.5 which means they could most likely get a lot more out of it, probably about 4.

This car model has actually a really interesting story: Enzo Ferrari loved to collect the cars he produced, but he couldn't afford to do it with his real cars, so he started to collect models of them. The writing "TOSCHI VIGNOLA" underneath the car refers to a company called TOSCHI, based in the town of Vignola in Italy, where I live, which produces fruit jam and other fruit products, it's very famous in Italy. Enzo Ferrari was a friend of TOSCHI's founder, so, to celebrate the 1952 and 1953 F1 championships won by Alberto Ascari in the Ferrari 500, he decided to produce a model of the Ferrari 500 sold with a jar of TOSCHI's cherries inside, and the model in the video is one of them.

Ebay that will do. But for an auction? Bruh auction is not like in pawnshop that you just walk in and start selling your stuff, you'll have to pay to get in, you will be needing a middle man, if it will be sold the auction house ,your middle man will have a percentage for that you do the math. You may have to pay more than earning for it

Appraiser said he would love to have it in his shop display for 3500, seller gets less than half. Basically, seller gets scammed. Appraiser & buyer ganging up on him, to get it cheap!

@Gary Potter Yes. Because at Walmart, they are a business, they buy things from the manufacturer, then they put it in their shops to sell. When they sell an item at Walmart, or any other business, they don't sell an item for what they paid for it. If they do that, they lose money. So his basic Walmart training is actually telling you how the economy works...

I wonder if there's ever been an episode where the seller is willing to keep their asking price the same after an expert of the item or the pawn shop broker says it's more valuable than they thought it was.

Thing is it’s not just a Ferrari, that car is a 1950s Formula One car, all I can say is that F1 is the greatest racing sport of all time, names like Michael Schumacher, Nikki lauda, Nigel Mansell, Alan Prost and so many more i’ve raced behind the Ferrari wheel of formula One, it’s not just a brand but the history behind it

that is the reason they ALWAYS ask what the person wants out of a particular item, so they can " low ball" every person and then cry that they are taking all of the risk and have to look for a specific type of buyer.

Who on earth will sell something that is not his,he should have asked his grandma if she was comfortable in selling her late husband's collection. I am sure he got it by telling how important Grandpa was and as soon he got it he ran straight to pawn shop to sell it out. This thing was underrated by the appraiser and in reality it's worth$8500. My friend bought a same from Abu Dhabi for$8500.... Greedy guys with lack of knowledge end up like this!!!
