Desperation I would not take my great Grandma's quilting frame to a pawn shop it belonged to her great Grandma. Over 300 years old. Impeccable condition. Now it is mine and I use it. Mostly it reminds of my ancestors. And it is pretty special 🙂

WOW explaining the obvious to the intellectually challenged is a full-time job. For one thing HONEST pawn brokers never screw anyone. They buy on the principle of wholesale to sell at retail. Meaning for the extreme dull's out there. Retailers do not pay $55.00 for a $60.00 shirt. They pay wholesale and mark in up a standard 60% So genius that means they pay $26.00 to sell at $60.00. For the very dull's who have no concept of economics or math skills. If you want to know the wholesale you take the appraised value, divide by 100 and multiply by 40. that means 60 / 100 = 0.6. 0.6 X 40 = 24. $24.00. Or the painfully obvious reverse. To figure out 60% markup. 24 / 40 = 0.6. 0.6 x 100 = 60. Read it a few times might sink in. In other words, anyone going in a pawn shop of any intelligence is going there for fast money, in cash, and better realize they are the wholesaler, and that is the price they will get offered. Many times, I see Rick WAY OVERPAY, when he likes something or knows he can turn it over fast. And many times, I have seen (in these clips anyway) someone is asking too little and he informs them of such and pays more than they were asking.

Thats how pawn shops work, is that not obvious ? The pawn shop is not forcing anyone to sell, its a choice and its always better to have a choice than no choice.

What must go on? I don't know where intellectually challenged individuals got the false impression Rebecca Romney quit appearing on Pawn Stars, or that she was fired. Neither are correct. She quit the book shop she was with in Vegas, relocated to Silver Spring, Maryland, founded her own book specialty shop Type Punch Matrix with her husband, continued to fly in and appear in Pawn stars (with a temporary hiatus during COVID restrictions) Rick has been to Type Punch numerous times as well, and she still appears on the most recent Pawn Stars Does America episodes.
