This kid is a playmaker very different from his brother. Definitely reminds me of a Messi type player. Hope he stays healthy and continues his process in Europe. He’s gonna blow up after the Olympics

moves like N'golo Kante a bit

He looks fantastic! Not sure why the comments here aren’t more excited about him. No, he’s not perfect, but I think we’re being a bit spoiled by the recent generation of USMNT players.

Not bad. Definitely reminds me of Brendan back in the RB Salzburg days. Needs some seasoning. We already know that try hard over pursuit stuff doesn't work out at higher levels.

Better than "not bad" if you ask me.

@@nilsberglund4773 Fine. I will explain the basis of my rating. Fortuna Sittard's player pool has a transfer market evaluation at 21 million dollars, which makes them slightly smaller than teams like DC United and Colorado Rapids who are at the bottom of MLS in terms of spending on players. So what you are seeing here is a very quick athlete adopting a style you frequently see at the US youth level - especially high school sports - of aggressively over pursuing the ball at all times, pressing very hard in an impulsive and undisciplined manner and succeeding because he's used to be quicker and able to make decisions faster than the players that he's playing against. And this works really well when you have a speed advantage over other players. But this is against Fortuna Sittard, which is a third or fourth tier club at below MLS level and thus it looks successful only because of the level of competition he's facing. If he goes up to a level where he isn't quicker than the guys he's up against, he'll have zero game. We've seen that happen to his older brother who is having to completely relearn how to play. Slumming in a lower level league against low level competition is not improving his game. And even within this clip, you can see examples where this try hard style just leads to clumsy play. He's scored two but he's also responsible for giving up a goal. 0:08 - Plays head down, slow decision making, leads to loss of possession. 1:09 - Poor first and second touch, poor decision making, leads to loss of possession in front of the goal, with the opposing team earning a PK Now yes, he does a lot of things right in this video, but given the level of competition we expect that kind of success. At a higher level he'll get punished harder and win less easily. So, "not bad". 7/10. Maybe 9/10 if it wasn't for that dumb mistake in front of the box. But also, this is Fortuna Sittard. This is a 5/10 or worse at a higher level.

I agree even when he doesn't assist he's playing dangerous balls in. His crosses are nice and he gets the right amount of loft under them for someone to head it in

I was lucky enough to be at this game and was the loudest one in the stadium. #BackPax. this Aaronson kid is special. He's just getting started .

He really faked the keeper out of his shorts on that first goal.

Half of the current USMNT doesn't have the poise to make that type of goal

Hopefully with a new coach we can make a little more noise. I think berhalter was too nice. 2 Red cards in 2 Major tournaments tells you everything. Not even decent red cards. Just childish wasteful stuff

Not the best in possesion. Loses it a bit cheaply. Looks solid defensively, his slide tackled are really cool to watch. Good at driving forward but no real threat. Good crossing as well. Future star

Idk wym not the best in possession, have you not seen him dribble past like 4 players? He’s a lot better than his brother in my opinion
@sanjayrajagopal74164 ай бұрын
@@theguyspodcast5782 look at how often he loses it in the midfeild and defensive third. I also said he's good at drving forward. Reading comprehension and eyes are an assumed pre-requisite when reading my coment.
@theguyspodcast57824 ай бұрын
@@sanjayrajagopal7416 if you understand football you’d see why he loses it. When he gets the ball none of his teams free themselves for him to make a pass for him. I mean if you look at one of his runs in this video where he dribbled past 5 players none of his teammates are freeing themselves so he has to over dribble just to make a pass to them.
@theguyspodcast57824 ай бұрын
@@sanjayrajagopal7416I’ll say the call with the penalty was his fault tho.

The play where he dribbled through 2 guys tells you what you need to know. If he can keep getting stronger he'll improve

Crazy that Vitesse is playing Pax on a loan after being relegated. You'd think they want to increase the value of their saleable assets before going down a division / risking bankruptcy. Must be in the fine print with Frankfurt
