PAY IT FORWARD - Day Care Owner surprises Employee

The video pretty much sums it up, but I wanted to do this so that maybe someone out there will be touched and also continue this chain of PAY IT FORWARD.
My name is Alex Rios of Edinburg, Texas. I wanted to surprise my employee Veronica Solis with a car of her own. She is a cancer survivor and has inspired my life to never give up and always work hard. Earlier this week, I did call Vero because she was going into work late. She started crying (I never really get after my employees) and she said for me to look for another employee because she did not have a car and had no one to give her a ride. After hanging up with her, I felt in my heart to just go buy her a car. It is not everyday that we can do something like this for other people, but right now that I am able to, why not do it for someone that cares for you and takes good care of your business. The only thing I had an issue with was this woman NEVER missed a day even when she was going through chemotherapy, she was loyal and loved her job and all the thanks she gets was a call from her boss complaining about her being late. Glad he finally realized how valuable she is (although almost giving her a heart attack when she told him to find someone new) and decided to help her instead.

You are a good man. I don't know why more bosses don't understand that if you treat your employees well and value them they will work their hearts out for you. Some bosses treat their employees like dirt and wonder why they can't get anyone to do a good job. This is such a heartwarming, precious gift! I'm trying to write this through tears. Having been in her shoes I know how hard the stress can weigh you down no matter how hard you fight or work to pull out of it. Bad health can wipe a persons life right out from under them and hard to get back on your feet. This act of kindness was so selfless, he could have easily hired another person that had a car but he say her heart and the need, to love a job is a rare thing so he is blessed to have her work for him. This man impressed me - it isn't just the car that impressed me, it is his attitude towards his business and his employees. The employees go above and beyond for him because they respect him and they understand how much he is proud of his daycare centre. They even wash the children's clothes when they need to. I have never seen another daycare centre with a laundry! He bought his employee a car because he understands that she does not have the money for one herself and he doesn't want to lose her. She told him to hire someone else so that he could be sure an employee will be there on time in the mornings. He said "I don't want someone else - I want you", so he made it possible for her to get to work on time. I have never had a boss that had that much consideration for employees!!

In reading a lot of comments, it seems 50% "get it" and 50% don't. Really? Holy cow, for this hard working woman without her own means of transportation, this means everything. For crying out loud -- #giving someone a car who doesn't have one is the ultimate generous gift. Doesn't matter how old or what kind of car, I'm positive he made sure it was operable & reliable and she wholeheartedly appreciated it.
