I just lost my brother this past Saturday 7/20/2019. I was at the grocery store on Sunday and started crying again. An old landlord of mine saw me and asked why I was crying. I told him what had just happened and he just grabbed me and hugged me and started praying with me. It was unexpected and I'm still crying as I watch this video and as I'm typing this. I lost him from both colon cancer and liver cancer.

God created us for absolute awesomeness, but he also gave us freedom of choice. These videos remember me that the choice is mine. I can do good or evil, I can spread love or hatred. I want to be one of those, not to be seen, but just to change someone's life for good. May God help us.

Some schools have there heads so far up there ass they can see any common sense or compassion. They call it a distraction. So instead of realizing what the intent was they would rather deprive a student of an education. Some how that makes sense instead of using it as a teaching moment. Of course it is a charter school. Not a real public school. A private run school run with tax payer money. Forced to change after a lot of bad press and embarrassment.

True. They can have there own rules but use tax money. There is one by me that the principal made 100k and his wife a secretary made 85k. Charter school. The schools around there are rather poor. The school is rated poor quality. But as it is charter exempt from the public school rules and standards

I think you missed the point, as gruesome as death might sound it is the most beautiful mechanism. Death is what keeps this world going, to be alive you have to be in the process of constant death or else you wouldn't be alive in the first place, if theres nothing to die then we wouldn't be here in the first place. Think of it as like we borrow these bodies and then one day have to return what we borrowed. It's all about knowing how to blossom just like a flower, covered in so much filth, yet still such a beautiful flower and scent comes out of all that filth.

We may not be able to fix what we have done in the past. But we can start today by doing better. And if you have a chance to apologize for any hurt you may have caused someone do it. (not easy) Through Christ Jesus there us forgiveness and redemption. Be free from indwelling sin. In Christ Jesus there is no more condemnation. Christ has made me free from the law of sin and death. (death the eternal death) No condemnation: We receive this glorious declaration from God’s court. We receive it though we certainly deserve condemnation. We receive this standing because Jesus bore the condemnation we deserved and our identity is now in Him. As He is condemned no more, neither are we.

i was in the library and saw someone crying, idk for what, stress? i felt rlly bad but i’m socially awkward so i couldn’t muster up the courage to approach them. when they went to the bathroom i slipped an encouraging note on their desk and it was the most accomplished feeling when they returned, read the note and smiled so wide, looking around to find who left the note

A little girl was coming home from Virginia with her family. The family decided to stop at a rest-stop. The parents went to the bathroom while the girl and her brother played outside. The young girl noticed an old man standing across from them. He was staring at something small in his hands. The man did a small head nod and came up to the boy and girl. They looked at him in curiosity. The man took one last look at the object in his hands. He looked directly at the young girl. The man held out a gold coin and said the words “I think this should belong to you.” The little girl grabbed the coin and told him thank you. The old man smiled before walking off. He went behind a building and didn’t return. The girl was still happy about the gold coin. To her, it was more than just a small coin. It’s been years but the girl still has the coin and treasures it. That little girl was me.

I realize these acts shouldn't be considered exceptional but instead the rule. The reality of it, they are not but we want them to be. So give credit where credit is overdue & hopefully it will catch on to the point that we wont consider these gestures as something exceptional but instead just an every day occurrence.🌞Keep in mind, we ALL can & should be better versions of ourselves, most times it just takes a little more effort that is clearly worth it for everyone involved.🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

Christine Zhang. If you want to feel better study local and world history. In general things, like this, have greatly improved over the decades and centuries. The difference in perception is that we have global instant coverage of all events now so we get bombarded with horrible scenes which just weren't covered in the past because cameras/camcorders etc were rare, so though much more numerous, we didn't get exposed to them.

I understand what you mean, but the way you say it seems like the world was good place and now we're in a really bad place. I'd say you're wrong. Humanity has always been both evil and good. That's the advantage of having this many people in the world. Some of them will start a war and some of them will do these kind of things. Let's not try to say this is/should be standard. That's not how humanity works. It's never been. Probably will never be.

I've been called a philanthropist many times because I've taken complete strangers into my home and giving them what they need and this is so refreshing to see people who are doing kind Acts. I have had more people tell me how stupid or crazy I have been for helping others when they have seen or found out and I don't tell others usually. So particular though the incident with the law enforcement making sure the man had shoes and socks touched me the most because I have met only one a law enforcement officer in Newport Beach California in a park when I was taking a break and laying in the Sun and he came up and gave me a bottle of wine and laying in the Sun and he came up and gave me a bottle of water. Before that there were several who actually harassed me. Seeing and hearing of law enforcement who have good hearts and realize right from wrong and are conscious enough to do their duty is terrific. To see one who is kind or good or respectful or thoughtful of others and truly into providing and protecting as their oath says is great. My dad was an officer and told me that he had to get out of the police force because he was threatened by other officers to either accept the bribes or to leave the force or he would suffer fatal consequence. Kudos definitely to every man and woman who takes it upon himself to give every opportunity he sees as to me that is the only way to live. Certainly live to do no harm but also live to take every opportunity to help another whenever you can. It is possible to make this world a better place. I've always thought it would be good for every year in school to see the movie pay it forward all children. even the movie Iron Will would be another great movie 4 Education as well as Lorenzo's Oil and of course there are many more.

I saw a story a few years back about a McDonald's employee who likewise fed a customer. In this case, the young man was not asked. He simply noticed the customer, an elderly man, was having a great deal of difficulty, and helped him. But I agree, most people are too selfish to consider others, and therefore, would not help.

I went to that Qdoba once with my family and it was a pigsty. Trash everywhere, serving cold food no yet cooked on the hot table, rude employees, you name it! It really surprises me that and employee from that same place could do something so kind! And fortunately, my family works with people like that woman. My grandmother works at a project learn which helps take care of the autistic. And me and my sister and aunt are going for the same thing, so it warms my heart to know people are getting more involved with others needs when they cannot help them self!

That drive through prayer circle made me cry, what sweet young adults. Loved seeing Joey not only give that gentleman on the train the shirt off his back, but he also helped him put it on. That train video of the man slipping freaked me out. I was waiting on a train platform once in NYC and a homeless woman jumped down to the tracks probably to get something she saw. I heard everyone yelling for her to get up because the train was coming. She wasn’t quick enough and she was caught between the train tracks and the platform. There was no way to get her out. My brain wasn’t able to comprehend what I was looking at. Very, very sad. To see all of those bystanders push the train And free the man was amazing to see.

Spending my whole life here in Toronto, it’s so nice to see you there are still decent and kind people out there, because there’s none of them here, why do I say that? I work as an x-ray technologist at the downtown trauma center, sadly, about 10 years ago, a homeless man that used to live in a bus shelter right outside the hospitals main entrance, passed away in January, when the temperatures are usually around -5 to -10 Celsius. Every day people will be waiting for the bus, totally ignoring this poor man who was literally freezing to death, and once he died, he did so in a way that his body was blocking the entrance to the bus, so what did everyone do? They just stepped over his corpse to get on the bus, not one single person stopped to see if he was OK, because he was always completely wrapped in a sleeping bag, people just assumed he was passed out, as he often was, from being an alcoholic, like many homeless people are. Three weeks went by, I came home from vacation, my first day back to work and I noticed that he was still in the exact same position the day I left work three weeks ago, so I tapped him on the shoulder, that was the worst day of my life. The man had been dead for at least two weeks according to the corner, and was literally frozen solid. Everyone just ignored him, stepped over his body, and got on the bus. If one person would’ve had the kindness to check to make sure he was OK, he could still be alive, I know he was alive because I gave him five bucks that last day I saw him before I went on holiday. I often go to the coffee shop, and we usually bring him back something, because I felt bad for the poor guy. I got to know him somewhat, he was 65 but looked like he was 100, life on the street can be really rough. Just like many people he couldn’t handle the stress of society, after losing his job, and his wife died of cancer, he just fell to pieces and ended up on the street, and I just could not turn my back on him. I don’t give money to every homeless person, I’d be broke if I did, but these guys, the older ones, that you know are never going to recover from being homeless, are worth giving you a couple of dollars to every once in a while, people used to get mad at me for giving him money once in a while, saying that he would go buy booze or drugs with it, and I would always say the same thing, good for him, if you lived on the streets wouldn’t you want to be drunk or stoned to deal with the hardships? I could never understand peoples attitude, how they could be so cold, so cruel, and uncaring. The day that I discovered him dead, as I said, what’s the worst day of my life, I didn’t know him that well, aside from quick chitchats here in there over the years, but I was so upset and so sad that the poor man had to die that way, alone, with not one person to give a damn, I had to go straight back home, because I couldn’t stop crying. Thankfully, they found some family members that lived in Montreal, because I needed someone to identify the body, and arrange for a burial. I went to the funeral, and it was amazing how many people this man had touched in his lifetime, people with great influence, people who live down the street, and everybody else in between. We are all worthy of love, we are all worthy of caring, and while I am generally a proud Canadian and a proud Torontonian, I was so ashamed that day, that the people in my city would allow something like that to happen. I ended up having to see a psychiatrist, because I felt guilty for going on vacation for three weeks, thinking to myself that had I not gone away, and if I was there, I would’ve known if there was something wrong with him, but I had absolutely no idea until I came home. There’s always this stereotype that Toronto is such a friendly city, well, I beg to differ, I’ve lived here 51 years of my life, and nobody will even look at you in the eye, much less care about you. It’s a sad statement for society, and to this day I still get angry and upset that nobody cared enough to give him a simple hello or make sure if he was OK. All life is precious, you cannot look at a homeless person and judge them, because you have absolutely no idea what happened to them to get them where they are. And don’t say it could never happen to you, because it can happen to anybody, I’ve seen it happen many times, especially since I’ve lived in this area for over 30 years now. It doesn’t take much, the loss of a job, the loss of a dear loved one, and boom, you’re homeless. I am only telling you this story as an example as to why I think kindness is a quality that has vanished in this city, I don’t want any comments about how kind I am, I’m not kind, I’m human, and so was he, he deserved better!😰😰😰😰

I have a friend, let's call her penny, at school and she was diagnosed with a large brain tumor. She was a part of the volleyball team before she was diagnosed. She was bed ridden and unable to get out to the house without having a seizure. During the last day of school everyone was called to the auditorium for an emergency assembly. Everyone saw penny on a projector screen and she was in a hospital bed. My social studies teacher who was also the volleyball coach said " As you all know Penny, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. Even she hadn't been here for a while. We all know she is the light of our school" Penny was on a webcam so she could see everything. She could barely pay for her surgery and the history teacher knew about that. " I want to propose a gift from the community and the school." She then pulls out a large check like the ones on game shows. " we donated 8,000 dollars to penny. A gift in return for lightening everyone's lives." The history teacher has been labeled 'Mrs. Honor' for the entire time she worked at school. Penny came back to school after another schoolyear. She has never been more popular. I honestly am pretty glad I have a teacher who really cares about her students :)

billyblackburn87 Well, just look around you. Plenty occasions to be kind to your neighbour human beings. Just saying thank you to the cashier, holding the door for the person next to you, man or woman, and you will get a smile and a thank you. I'm from the "old school" frame of mind. It costs absolutely nothing to be polite and nice to people. If we all do it, we will have a better world and we will hopefully have a better POTUS than this Trump guy... :)

billyblackburn87 I know, it's kind of sad how a man helping an old woman cross the street was such a big deal to be on the news, not being rude, but this should be happening everywhere
