This album taught me a vital music lesson: The songs the label wants you to hear are at the start, the songs the band wants you to hear are at the end. Always listen until the end.

I remember feeling so badass buying this CD when I was 10, the art drew me in and I had seem some of their music videos for the singles on MTV. This song on the tail-end of the album totally blew my mind, at the time I had never heard any music that was longer than 3-5 minutes. Still kicks ass, over 20 years later.

It's funny that this album is widely considered to be the band's "sell out" moment, because of songs like Pretty Fly, and Get A Job. Yet this track is the most non-mainstream song in the band's entire catalogue. lol But that's one of the things I've loved always about this band, is that they've never totally abandoned their punk roots.
@raymemichaels7 жыл бұрын
There's nothing wrong with selling in a capitalistic world. Punk rock is just commodity anyway, just like a band's T-shirt or concert ticket. Whether a CD contains punk rock, classic rock or classical music for that matter, it's most certainly a commodity packaged to be sold to the masses.

I've read an interview with Noodles (Offspring's guitarist) where he said that we might get two (!) new albums later this fall or in early 2019, one with more traditional Offspring stuff and one more experimental and "wacky". Maybe another song like this, who knows?
