Though I visited the tallest and longest aqueduct / trough in Asia, the Padmanabhapuram palace, and the Muttom beach, the one that stood out to me was the Padmanabhapuram Palace. Mainly because it was a learning about the Travancore ruling / dynasty, their royalty, and their punishments. It is definitely something you have to visit if you're visiting Kanyakumari or nearby places.

Awesome da... ❤ British mostly came through the sea route, so they might have settled down there initially and could spread out the religion, and also people near coastal would have mostly depended on the daily wages/earnings from sea, they could have had less money for hospitals or treating diseases, so it would have been relatively easier missionaries to convert them. Just my POV.

My presumption on your understanding is Foreigners are the one who brought Christianity into India through invasion, as a first step of preaching they had constructed churches to cover the locals and also as a entry point for the forthcoming foreigners invaders in late 15th century to get to know that Land India has been already invaded by a Country that preaches Christianity, for example in order to stop the Arabs to invade India. why churches are around sea shores of India ? : when disciples and followers of Jesus travelled around the world through ships (at time before aircraft), the only possible way to land is along the sea shore. Due to which most of the people around sea shore are converted to christianity and thus later the churches were build.

As we ppl are good at sea trading those days and there is no other route to connect to China via sea from other southern continents.. since this is the only route...they cant dock there stocks inbetween.. so Foreigners thought of capturing and establishing their docks... so they occupied outskirts near the coastal area and converted people around those region for their support and also they built churches as a worship and hiding place to escape from the attacks.. (war) and to establish their landmark they built churches..

The comment about why christians are found in coastal areas is because the disciple of Jesus, St. Thomas landed in India in AD 52 on the Kerala coast. He travelled throughout India mostly on coastal areas preaching christianity till he was martyred in Mylapore, Chennai in AD 72. so christianity came to indian in the First century and not when Portugese or British invaded india. This is the historical fact.
