Wow your change is Amazing! I just came out to my parents and they hate it, my dad said he will kick me out and my mom terribly sad.. I am nearly 21 years old and fear that that it will be late for me to take T, I am thinking to delay it for a while, how old were you when you start T?

Oh, wow, I'm really glad that I found this video. I feel this way too : the longing to have a kind of brotherly figure in my life, the need to belong. The feeling that the men who knew me pre-transition won't ever fully view me and treat me as male. Or at least not spontaneously. I'm still waiting for my first appointment with the psychiatrist so I don't have much experience, but I get the feeling that it will take years for male friends to fully adjust. In the meantime, there's our community :)

Thanks for this video man. I relate to selfishness aspect. I just started my transition, and I am so consumed with everything that is going on with me and the process. I'm trying to find the balance between this and all the other aspects of my life. It is just the beginning and already becoming very interesting in that respect. Hoping to find a way to make it smooth out. Come up to Portland and bro out with me and yourpalwes!

Thank's for the thought. I have thought about a mens retreat of some sort. Part of my problem is finding time to pursue things like that. I'm really struggling balancing everything going on in my life right now.

I have been enjoying and getting educated watching your videos. Have you ever considered doing a men's retreat? One that I used to go to is with Barry Vissell of Shared Heart Foundation. It's usually a weekend retreat in the Santa Rosa area of N. California. Joyce and Barry Vissell have been doing wonderful work with couples for years and I had the pleasure of working with them as a musician in their retreats and workshops. The retreat is usually in late November.

Awesome video Dade. Really. I know that lonely feeling, and sometimes bio-guys from before transition, almost transition with you in terms of adjusting to understanding you as male, truly. I've found that confidence combined with a willingness to be vulnerable about what I want guys in my life to reflect back to me, has helped with getting closer, in a male sense, to pre-existing male friends. Talk to them like you talk to spiderman, ; tap into their spidy-sense! Thanks for the great video -L

I feel you on this. I've actually never spoken about it with any other trans guys, I think it's something a lot of people don't want to admit to. I find myself worried around my cis male friends who knew me pre-transition, I'm just constantly nervous about whether or not they really see me as "one of them".

I don't know how it is in Hawaii but I had to go to a therapist and get diagnosed with GID. Then I took that diagnosis to my doctor who prescribed me testosterone. As far as I know, you have to have a prescription to take T.

Hey Dade. I've been watching your video lately. I just have a question about T. My gf wants to start on it but she can't seems to know where to start. She had been searching on the internet and other stuff but she still couldn't find more information about it here, here in Hawaii. Is there any way we can buy the T out from another state? What are her first options? Thanks.

Dade - I hear you and to some degree understand where you are coming from. I am a 59 y.o. cisgender gay man here in Denver Colorado. It would be an honor to be a father figure, etc. I have a 21 y.o. son who I adopted about 12 yrs ago. He did not connect with me. So now I am without a son. This may sound strange to you or maybe it will not, I would love to be a father to someone. And I would like to talk to u about filling that void in your life. Unless that has already happened for you.Take care

Hey man, 30 year old just beginning transguy here. You stole my name, just to let you know! :) I've loved that name since Hackers. (Not suggesting thats a reference for you) So, i thought i heard in one of your videos that you have a blog? I was just hoping you could hook me up with that, somehow? You have very in-depth content in your videos, you answer a lot of the questions I would ask. For instance, my testosterone levels are extremely high naturally as well....so much so that my estrogen is unreadable. Anyway, you talked about that and its important for others to know. Super props on doing these videos, my friend. I dont know where you live....im in Boulder, CO. The wife an I are always looking for good people to have dinner with....if you are close. Take care of yourself, man. Lookin good, lookin happy, lookin free!! K..... Or..... To Be Determined......
