this will probably always be the "mover's finale” episode to me, and it might not be my go-to vlog to rewatch because of how much this makes my blood boil, BUT it's the tiny things, the one liners and little moments in this video that are really perfect examples as to why this is one of my favorite channels. The target “old empty" quip and "what a beautiful day in Pennsylvania” lamp gag literally made me laugh out loud. The missing prototype barcode on pudgy pig line. The snow globe chime ending. And everything in between. It’s the little things. And I love it all. Once a week, or once every few years, I’ll be here to watch regardless. Thanks for taking the time to actually film, edit, and put all of these together. I promise, and I think I can speak for a lot of us, It doesn’t go unappreciated. (Also, might be a little late, but if you haven’t thrown them out yet, the snow globes are still very pretty statues. Might be something to display and laugh about decades down the line). (Oh and Mia’s strategic tactics and assertive approach to the paperwork was incredible. The adding “-ed in” instead of just crossing it out and rewriting everything is such a smooth move, especially under all that pressure.)

I'da had them hauled off in cuffs, truck impounded, and demanded a hefty settlement. Take 'em for all they're worth like they tried to do to you. I'm not usually an eye for an eye kinda guy, but they destroyed Mia's stuff, wrecked two yards, and extorted thousands of dollars, if that ain't a sign that they need to be locked up, I don't know what is.

He was totally trying to make a run for it. Mia realized and ran outside. He was yelling something about "no problem the insurance cover" (meanwhile, the guy has no insurance, gave us a fake name, and a fake company...) but thankfully he ended up getting stuck so I called the police back. This was probably the best way it could have went for us, believe it or not, b/c that's now a criminal issue. Everything else has been civil, which means police can't help w/o us going to court. So, this gives us a better chance of making them pay in some form... I hope.

The contract does give the rate insurance will pay for broken property. ...and then they gave us fake insurance to contact. With the police right there. These guys have no fear. Most people can't tell the police "I don't care, I'm not afraid to go to jail" after they've done something criminal, and get to leave. But, hopefully this isn't over. We're waiting to hear back from people who will hopefully cause them some trouble.

My first choice would always be DIY. The PODS were great (but didn't service where Mia's mom lived, otherwise we would have done that). U-Haul's good too. Another idea is driving the truck yourself but hiring local guys to help you load/unload if needed. If you hire movers, try to find a company you know is legit. There are certain trucks you see on the highway. Those are usually legit moving companies. Scammers usually use rental trucks. Not always the case, but, no company truck can be a red flag for sure. I would stay away from brokers. And brokers won't tell you they're brokers, you have to ask. Google whoever you hire. Read reviews on BBB, or wherever they may come up in a search. Do your best to know who you're hiring and how long they've been around for.

Those scammers are definitely going to get what they deserve. No one should get away with scamming thousands of dollars out of people who are just trying to make a living. If I were in your place, I’d really unleash my wrath on them. I’m actually very surprised that these people managed to get away with all these incidents. Maybe it’s high time for the FBI to get involved. If SPD was in the real world, we could just scan, judge, confine, and turn them in to the police.
