Friend or foe Paz Visla was a strong and brave man.

Even though he wasn’t always the friendliest guy; he ironically perfectly encapsulated Mandalorian values: He raised a foundling as his own son, and from what we got to see, Ragnar turned out a lot like Paz. He, despite occasionally having issues with other Mandalorians, always looked beyond his personal disputes and did what was best for his people as a whole. And he went out gloriously in battle, taking as many enemies as he could with him. Getting killed by the Praetorian Guard is in no way a sign of weakness, given that they almost beat the combined strength of two *extremely* powerful Force Users, who only barely made it out alive. Paz never stood a chance against them, but he went out like a badass.

his death was an error in tactics. he could have retreated through the hole that bo katan cut and used the doors as cover and funnel the stormtroopers into one area. then he could have just fire his blaster in short burst, so his gun wouldnt overheat. staying in the kill box was a bad idea.

no. his jet pack is sparking. Yes he could have fallen back with the rest; but the troopers would have pursued. And then it would have become a fighting retreat and more Mandalorians would have died.
