I’m a 300h Moira main. Here are some tips when playing attack at hybrid or escort map, right before the door opens throw a healing orb onto the ground next to the door. It will do you good. Don’t hesitate to throw healing orb, always prioritize the healing one. If you can throw healing orb, then spray as less as possible. Don’t fade into enemy. Only fade to escape. DO NOT HAVE BOTH YOUR ABILITIES ON COOL DOWN WHEN YOU SUCK AN ENEMY. Only throw healing orb when you suck an enemy unless you are sure they will die suck phara and echo...

I always use her almost as a supportive DPS I guess is the way to put it? I use my dabs to sneak behind enemies, throw healing orb and suck. Dash if they see me, dash back, repeat. This strat works sooooooo well with a damage orb and ult…imo easiest way to get a squad wipe in the game

Don’t fade into the enemy? Moira is supposed to pick off the the back line. Also, it is very common to fade into the back line + orb + ultimate. I strongly disagree with this tip in particular

10:12 Something that I have turned on for me are captions for important call outs. The captions call out a Sombra coming out of invisibility, allowing you to anticipate an EMP better and fade if the Sombra decloaks just before the EMP.

Probably my favorite part of Moira’s kit is her fade, I probably overuse it because I mainly use it to reposition more than escapability. I really hated her ultimate nerf really unnecessary nerf because she has no other utility for her team other than healing and damage, nerfing her ult was a nerf to her entirety of her utility.

my favourite thing about moira as a 200+h main is her mobility. and the benefits that come to her mobility. she can fade out of a grav, sigma ult, ash grenade fire, echo’s sticky bombs being stuck to you, tracers pulse bomb, orisas suck. the only thing she can’t really fade out of is a junkrat trap.

4:43 This is a great point. If I’m fighting Genji or a low HP target, I never tap. If my tank’s in front of me fighting the opposing tank, I tap because I’m not going to secure a kill and tapping allows me to keep my team topped off. Great guide! I love moira I always play aggressive to get some early picks then fade away to heal teammates or I will fade away to a cover and send a healing orb to give some support after yoink some kills who are low in hp... and Moira is so good against movement players as you have to just trace around it, Great vid !!!

by far the best thing ive learnt as moira is using fade to hide, alot of times when I need to escape but im too far in to the enemy i will use fade to hide behind an item or a corner in the map. Most people give up on looking for you because they dont see what direction you went, also they have to invest in time to look for you if they do and if theres alot of corners where you are then you can actually distract them for quite a while...

I'm not a huge fan of her character design but she is by far my favorite support. No other support can change tempo so seamlessly and go from full on burst aoe healing to full on aoe damage in seconds as the fight needs it. Any other support with "utility" can only get value out of that utility in niche situations like ult cancellations and specific push windows. Her entire it is on full bore from start to finish. That's valuable

With Moira, exist. What I will tell you is that this game is all about outsmarting, especially as this character, so if you aren't willing to learn, you are going to struggle. Moira doesn't need aim, so how do you win? Learn how all of her interactions work. Good luck! Godspeed.

Only started a few days ago and have been hard maining Moira on support. My first few games I was a bit too aggressive with trying to deal damage but I've slowly been learning to stay behind the front lines and to give as much a healing as I possibly can. I think I've got a fairly decent handle on it but still learning the nuances of using the fades and such. As far as problems, I definitely have had issues with Tracers/Widows focusing me as well as just a couple teammates complaining that I havent been healing them as a Tracer/Wrecking Ball. but the latter part is a smaller issue.....unless someone has a tip for me there. My placement/timing of healing orbs should prolly require some attention too. I've also sometimes used fade much to often as an evasion tactic that it has led to me being lamely taken out as I'm strolling away All a part of the learning curve though and this video definitely helps :]

Idk the whole “If you aren’t focusing (blank) you are throwing” thing really put me off. Importance or not, that’s kinda toxic and creates a stressful environment within the team in a situation (comp) that is already stressful enough. There are other ways to inculcate inportance than to attack your teammates. I understand the urgency behind the expression but it could potentially cause them to ACTUALLY throw, get you cussed out or, they might compromise their position to focus your target which could get them killed. Either way, they’re now on tilt and it would be because of a bad choice of words for a callout.

I noticed you weren't hopping with Moira. My Moira always bounces, no matter what she's doing. That makes it harder to hit her on her hitbox. That's why I'm never afraid to approach a WIdowmaker or Hanzo directly and I always win.

actually hopping and jumping is more predictable than strafing/crouch strafing. when you jump you follow an extremely predictable and lateral path; up, and the down. but with strafing its less predictable because you can go left, right, right, left, right, left, left etc. i find it easier to oneshot a moira on widow/hanzo if i just follow her jump patterns

Which fade jump? If you are looking for a more generalized answer, it really depends upon the object and comes down to trial and error practice

I'm new and not entirely sure what I'm getting 'stuck' with in some games- sometimes it's a trap by junkrat but other times it's like a sticky grenade of some kind, but does the fade get you unstuck from either of these situations (hopefully I get a reply before I find out the hard way). Ty!

I know you’re good and all but I saw like 2-3 sig ults that you could have faded out of. Was it the heat of the moment and you weren’t thinking or were you keeping it for something else? If I am going to be completely honest, I made this video a month ago and don't remember without timestamps. The only thing I could say here is 1. It's moira in QP so my brain isn't going to be on hyper focus mode (which it should). 2. If I am getting sig ulted by I am pretty sure I am not going to be taking considerable damage to get me killed, I don't want to force my fade.

The big thing I have always had trouble with was doing damage. I've heard constantly from people that I should have a lot of damage as Moira but I almost never have a medal. I'll almost always have an elim medal though. I've been able to figure mostly everything else out but I just can't find what to do to output more damage.

You don't need to have a medal as moira to do damage. It is more important that you keep your resources up while also looking for those situations in which you can get more value with damage.

Tapping gets your resources built faster. Holding overall does more damage
