im absolutely tempted to get multiple copies of stringmaster, it singlehandedly has carried my teams. granted you only want this if a good chunk of your DPS/sub DPS can use it. So far i have Encore, Yinlin and Zhezhi who pass it between eachother in TOA like a blunt at a party.

@@Liawdd i mean multiple copies for the sake of upgrading the weapon. you can upgrade the bonuses on the weapon by stacking multiple copies on it like how you get extra abilities for multiple copies of a resonator.

@@Liawdd LOL yeah its all good. i mean yeah it gets a little tedious, especially in TOA where if you try to proceed to the next level it wont let you change your party's equipment but ill take that over having to spend another bajillion shell credit on getting a second level 90 stringmaster. Luckily none of the current Recitifier users i have work well in a party together so i don't worry about supplementing them with a second good recifier (an issue i currently have with danjin, rover and sanhua)

@ yup it’s totally a pain so I get it! Thankfully in the 1.4 update we will be able to change weapons between chars without having to leave the tower so that wont really be an issue anymore !

For f2p players, it's a trade for pulls on the next character patch. Personally, I'd skip since future resonators would probably have better signature weapons than Yinlin's weapon.

I doubt it. Ever since her weapon was released, they've been purposely making future weapons more niche in their buffs. They'd have to start another generation of weapons to keep up if they ever made one more universally stronger than Stringmaster.

@@Zer0Perplexity Correct and the thing about THAT is that once they "break the seal" and show the community that they're WILLING to make a weapon universally stronger than Stringmaster, anything going forward can rightfully be assumed to be of a similar level of power. Gacha games don't typically try to SELL you comparable things that are worse in all aspects...at the VERY least they want those new weapons to really POP on their intended character. Once base stats just CLEAR Stringmaster it's a sign that we're on a different generation of weapon and we're not going back, at which point it's a green light to pick out one of the new age rectifiers, ESPECIALLY any that have anywhere near the utility that Stringmaster does.

@TheTripleJski they could also go the route of PGR, where there are extra upgrades you can place on a weapon that are linked to the Resonator its equipped to at the time you upgraded it. While I hope they don't go that route, it would give a reason to roll for more weapons.

I see lots of people always mentioning the lower attack stat on the rectifiers but that's only true if you are comparing them to the other weapons. If you compare them to other rectifiers most are at a lower attack. probably a balancing issue. I'm assuming it keeps it similar for rectifier users, like in other games some weapons will have less top end damage but will have more speed and that brings them to about equal strength.

Ranged users have a modicum of safety built in....throw in the fact that some Rectifier users like Zhezhi are literally teleporting ON TOP of the dodge everyone has and the ability to keep your rotation going easily (provided you're not a sitting duck like Encore in her resonance skill). I think the more Rectifier users we get the more random ranged abilities will get stronger and give a level of crowd control and ease of use that justifies them being slightly less potent in the attack stat.

it's important to note that the maximum damage output comes from crit ratio of 1/2 100cr/200cd for example tho you won't lose a lot of damage even in a 1/3 crit ratio

with base cd being 150% it's better to aim for more than 1/2 crit ratio. Takes a lot of time and patience to get double crit rolls but when you do the damage output is so satisfying. Takes so long that i just finished jiyan and XY's builds after months.

Stringmaster is so good I'm tempted to get a second one just so I can use two rectifier users with it at the same time. Plus, I hate swapping it around, because I always forget, and Jinzhou Keeper is the only other DPS option I have. Mostly because of the resource drain levelling another to 80+ would be. It's really noticeable when I've just come off using Encore to Yinlin and forgotten to swap it back.

Correct me if I'm wrong. But I think the lower atk is a rectifier issue so it isn't exclusive on Stringmaster.

Yeah it's a rectifier issue. All the 5* rectifiers have 500 base atk, soo that's the highest that we coule get for now. Maybe it's for balancing purpose ? Idk but to compensate for it rectifiers have huge substat bonuses to make up for it. Cosmic ripple with it's 50% Atk, Stringmaster's 36% Cr (most OP imo), and Zheshi's sign with 72% Cdm. All non rectifier signature weapons we have soo far don't have substats as high as rectifiers does, they at most got 24% Cr or 48% Cdm

Got both Stringmaster and Yinlin on her debut, now I'm going all in on Camellya. Hope to get at minimum her and her weapon. Seems like the best combination, since her R1 is less damage if used with Emerald of Genesis than R0 and her sig. If I had a lot more Asterites, I'd try pulling for more copies instead though, her R2 and up are big damage bonuses (R6 being roughly 300% of her R0 damage).

I have both Zhezhi and Encore build up so I'm definetly pulling for Yinlin's weapon EVEN BEFORE HERSELF. I prefarmed for Yinlin too. And if I get Yinlin's weapon, both of my Zhezhi and Yinlin gonna have better stats than all of my dps's, that's crazy... 44 pity and 7 wish for weapon, and overall 206 pulls rn. Normally, I'd say Zhezhi's weapon is very pretty, but you can make rectifiers invisible going forward, so the appearance doesn't even matter... rip

Without this weapon, I wouldn't have cleared all of Tower of Adversity. The switching between, Yinlin, Zhezhi, and Encore can be quite cumbersome, but it helped me clear the tower with full stars. This is the only banner that forced me to clear the map for those astrites, luckily I clutched before it ended.

You should go with both there is two choices either you go with camellya weapon that will make it easy for you to gear danjin or sanhua maybe changli too or you go with yinlin weapon that will make your encore yinlin s tier and will 100 % work with future dps

Both weapons will work wonders for their respective characters. The difference being Camellya will do quite well with an emerald of genesis, whereas the dropoff (on ANY rectifier dps) is pretty significant unless you're Zhezhi with her signature, but even that is only slightly better in that ONE circumstance than Stringmaster. Stringmaster is the generally better account choice. Also, in case you were wondering, there IS a 4 star sword literally being made with Camellya in mind this patch. In order to stack its abilities' buffs and get the most out of it, it requires repeated basic attacks in very qucik succession (under 1 second I think). Meaning Camellya will get more out of that sword than any other character, and being that it's released the same patch as she is...that's no coincidence...it even has like 6% crit i think in the buff with full stacks. That may not be what you want, but if you can only AFFORD one, and you want the best results overall for your account (not just this patch when Camellya is being catered to with havoc weakness on enemies) then you probably want to prioritized stringmaster. One final option is the YOLO method. Pull Cam, hope for good luck, then pull for her weapon in hopes of getting it early enough that by the end of the patch you can grind enough asterite to EVENTUALLY be able to either afford Yinlin's weapon via guarantee, or hope to get IT early on a lucky pull. I wouldn't advise this one, BUT it's something from time to time that can be kinda fun to try. Along the way, if you run out of asterites while pulling for Camellya's weapon, at LEAST you know all that pity is carrying over to Yinlin's weapon, so there's that too if you're having bad luck or just running out of pulls.

it's your choice, but xly sig is crafted with liberation damage in mind, whereas stringmaster is more general with a simple Atk bonus

@@dolgorukysvyatoslav I wouldn't call a DPS signature weapon focusing on liberation damage "too niche". In fact I've pulled on his weapon a few times despite having no initial intentions and longterm plans for OTHER things prior to his release. Just testing my luck because I believe his gauntlets are quite good. Since, I've begun stacking the refinements of battle pass weapons...got his at 2 or 3 (and supposedly they're being buffed soon too). If that were not the case it'd be a tougher decision as to whether or not to grab Stringmaster or his gauntlets (for me). Still, I think Stringmaster is overall more versatile and a better account investment, but I would say his gauntlets (being the best available atm) are on a similar level...and it really depends on what style and type of characters come next to really define what will be better longterm...I'm banking on Stringmaster.

If you grabbed the emerald of genesis over the 5 star standar Retifier, you made the right call imo. The fact that those 3 standard 5-stars (rectifier, guants, broadblade) don't have crit makes them a half a tier or more less valauable than the sword....I'd say the gun too if we had characters that can take advanatage of a 5 star gun better than Mortefi. Maybe in 2.0 Camora makes us all hail the 5 star guns. However, for your situation, you're now waiting on Stringmaster, but assuming you get it, you'll have the best rectifier available...maybe for a while, but even if it IS cleared by some 2.0 weapons, it'll still be 2nd or 3rd best overall in the game, still quite good for a long time to come.

The attack buff only balances the lack of base attack. You're only getting higher crit rate on this weapon compared to others, but damage wise it's lacking. You'll need very high crit rate (at least 90%) to make this weapon really worth it for damage otherwise, it's a great universal weapon.
