Right? The poor guy finally gets the recognition he feels he deserves from Nucky and the cruel hand of fate just smacks him upside the head. The way he reacts to "betraying" his boss is heartbreaking. I know the writers added the backstory of how he left for America with his mistress to ease the blow a little bit, but I still really felt bad for him.

That choise of words: "I wouldn't but something alive in the box" and they both immidiatelly thinks of Owen being send to Nucky's house dead in the box by Masseria just before Margaret and Owen was supposed to flee after Owen does the Masseria hit (well Margaret first and Owen a month later but anyway). Nucky's I f'd up face after he said it and Margaret's uncomfort from the memories is palpable. In Boardwalk Empire there is so much double meanings in what people say all the time. If you cannot read between the lines or be patient to follow the set up's in the plot it might be a boring show but it certainly isn't that when you actually pay attention. So many memorable characters aswell (pretty much iconic, like Van Alden, Harrow, Rothstein, Rosseti and Narcisse just to mention few) and all of the conclusions for the set up's are just top notch in the plotlines. Couldn't understand when it first came and people just wouldn't pick up on it even tho there was pretty heavy marketing. Actually when the show Vinyl that Scorsese also created but with Mick Jagger didn't rise up even to Boardwalk level HBO was veery down bad and cancelled Vinyl after first season (I must say I had hard time with that show too but I had the feeling it could've been great if they got some time to fine tune certain things). If Game of Thrones wouldn't have been a major hit, HBO could have very easily been bankcrupt since it was that bad. Even Got money over the years got them stable but also it was expensive to make so they really did strike well with Westworld when Got was slowly ending. Now there have been many great mini-series for example Your Honor, The Undoing etc but people just leave HBO when there isn't some huge show people talk about and have hard time finding the gold in there (and it's there). Succession is best show on right now, season 3 starts in a month and I'm already putting it very high on the list of best shows ever made. Hope it gains even more traction, it's opening theme became pretty viral and brought more people in aswell as the Emmy win for S02 performance of Jeremy Strong for example.

I loooove Margaret. I love how she was even more cleaver and manipulate than Nucky. I mean she just took that land and donated it all. Such a baller move. I love how she decided, Im not going to have this crazy mans baby even though I know having his baby could set me up for life. Also I love how she could get under Nucky's skin. I loved how she didn't love him towards the end and just felt bad for him and then left him. She gave the most powerful man in Atlanta low self-esteem.
