I own this and bought it despite all the YT content complaints about the magnet not being a strong connect, the tip being all plastic, and the clip looking weak. But, it works for it's intended purpose and it's a sleek small form factor. Maybe PB Swiss knows what they are doing after all? IMO if you have a use for these, get one and you will like it.

I like the mixed content of this channel. We all need tools just as much as we all need flashlights. I have an old MegaPro screwdriver that I’ve been using for many years and it’s been the best tool in my toolbox.

Thanks for the feedback I'll keep doing any interesting tools I get hold of. I'm trying to get different brands but have some more pb swiss and wera stuff to look at eventually.

Nice tool Richy, I like the portability. If I had to make one improvement, I would add a metal inset into the handle where the shafts are inserted. Maybe it's time to invest in a pocket protector to really try out the clip! Lol Looking forward to more unique tool reviews from this channel. 👍

True a metal inner would make this last longer. I've not seen any replacement handles for this range you can just get the full set. Still loving it so far. Cheers

Lovely video. I don't need one of those but I do. You know what I mean! The smell. A lot of screwdriver handles are made of some sort of Acetate Butyrate, as this ages, it starts to smell like vomit, literally. PB Swiss's attention to detail is so good, they prepare for this future event and add the vanilla smell to mask this. The slotted. like you said, they don't just grind them to a point. They are actually parallel up the blade for the first few millimeters causing a very tight fit into the screw. The Philips. Most PB Swiss screwdrivers conform to JIS, Japanese Industrial Standard. Japan is a big market for them. If you haven't learned about JIS it is worth a look. Basically any product made in Japan uses JIS screws, they look like Philips but there is a slight difference. If you try use a Philips screwdriver in a JIS screw it will damage the screw and not seat properly. This may have been what you experienced with the Stanley screwdriver. You can however use a JIS screwdriver happily in both JIS and Philips. Stanley Black and Decker. I stop purchasing anything from the numerous companies Stanley Black and Decker own. They are trading on a trusted name but now sell inferior products that you can't trust anymore. Just my opinion. Subbed on my first video of yours. How could I not after you showed such a beautiful PB Swiss tool.

Ha ha ha I feel like that all the time as I order another Knippex or PB swiss :-) I had no idea about the vomit issue thanks for this. Il go and have a look at the Japanese standard this was something i did not know thank you for telling me this it sounds like something worth investing in :-) Those terrible Stanley heads were a strange grind it was almost like it was too sharp? I wish I had them to compare up close but I hated them. I was after a slim ratchet and was looking at a Vessel set and that mentioned JIS which I overlooked, I ended getting a Broppe as the postage for the Vessel was stupid. I have to agree with you on the Stanley. I have a beautiful metal Stanley blade from the 90s and its still amazing to own and use but the new ones feel like a kids toy. Although I did get a massive deal on a stanley fax max and il be fair and honest it was ok, not terrible, but no where near what they used to be for me. Thanks for the sub mate I have a pile of tools I will need to get to I have x2 new pb swiss drivers. One is the newer version of the one with bits in the handle, the older version you had to screw the lid down this just pops out and I have a ratchet driver, some knippex stuff etc. its just getting the time to do it all and I have nitecore and acebeam after me to test then behind the scenes im testing prototypes for companies. If you need anything or have any questions let me know although it sounds like you know way more then me :-) Have a great day.

I'm building a new IT/electronics bag, I have 1 empty slot staring at me. This is a super strong contender, I have a more complete set of precision drivers in the bag. But this one would sit in an empty slot and handle the majority of my usual precision work.

I currently have this in the bottom of my wera pouch with a driver in it so I have something for tiny screws. Still going strong for me and I love it. I was relying on a tiny micro driver thing on a Leatherman before this but like you I also have proper drivers in the house on my table. I really wish PB swiss were easier for me to get hold of. Only tiny issue I have so far is if I have it in my jeans pockets all day it sometimes collects fluff but I just take the driver bit out and blow the slot a bit and its fine.

Do you think the precision bits are small enough to tighten the small screws on eyeglasses?
@TrailTrek

If it's the mega small ones and it's slotted then you might be ok. But I have some sunglasses with super small Phillips heads and those are a nightmare to find a screwdriver for. I think you might be ok with this but I see saying flippin tiny screws on glasses where I'm not so sure.

I 've watched some of your tools and toolbits vids. This would come in handy at times. PS. Do you carry a Multitool as EDC as well? I have a Leatherman Rebar but the blades and bits being on the inside make it a 2 hand operation.

I have to avoid some leatherman stuff due to over the top laws here on one handed opening devices with blades but I do have older letterman where I need two hands and love them. For me the quality on the leatherman stuff is very high. I've had ganzo multi tools and found they were initially ok but then they fell to bits!

@@TrailTrek I see. We do have similar laws prohibiting us from carrying or buying certain multitools or knives(folding or straight). I believe it applies up to a certain length and usually online shops mention they will require ID... but for age verification. In reality they didn't ask me a thing when I ordered the Leatherman. Back in August I went into a survival-camping gear store for Nitecore batteries and got a folding knife too. The store owner didn't ask me a thing either. The privileges of living in the Balkans, I guess 🙄. PS. Now I'm the one waffling.

There are too many laws on it here. They try to stop lock knives (a locking knife is actually a safety feature) but I can go and buy a machete or chain saw lol

what camera did you use for filming? It is very sharp!
@TrailTrek
@TrailTrek Жыл бұрын
Thanks, believe it or not I've always used my mobile phone to shoot everything I do from hikes in the mountains to close ups of tools. What I do which may be why its so sharp compared to most content is shoot in 4k and HDR. Also when I render my videos out I bump the bit rate really high so the file sizes are huge, this gives KZbin more detail to work with when they compress it all over again on their servers. I hope this helps answer the question :-)
