Sometimes, bowlers can be legends on the lanes but let's look at some moments where things really didn't go their ways. Make sure you comment down below what kinds of videos I should make next!

Stone 8 pins are bad breaks. Stone 9 pins (for a righthander) are bad shots.

One thing about Del Ballard Jr at 5:30. I watched that shot on TV. Next week, he was again bowling for the championship and needed just a few pins in the 10th to lock up the championship. He turns to the crowd and says "Guess where this one's going. Straight down the middle." And that was exactly how he threw it. Straight and hard and right at the head pin for the win. He learned his lesson.

Mika Koivuniemi missing the 10-pin at the 68th US Open still hurts to watch. I was happy to see Norm Duke win again, but I was also heartbroken for Major Mika. This was his best season, and that pesky 10-pin screwed him over for a second time (the first was at the 2011 Tournament of Champions just a month or two before this one, where he got robbed of a perfect game in a _major_ during the semifinal match against Tom Daugherty’s 100 game). He still got 2011 PBA Player of the Year, though.

If y’all thought that eighth in becoming a seven pin was bad you should’ve seen what happened at the bowling alley I work at. I am a mechanic and I was just clocking out win from the front desk I see someone hit high on the headpin the three pin kicks off the sideboard and slide the six pin all the way over to the seven spot. The seven pin was already knocked over so the six just took residence. These were on Brunswick fiber decks and we have seen plenty of out of ranges because of the slippery ass decks. I must tell you though the six becoming the seven pin is the craziest shit I’ve ever seen.

Putting spin on the ball helps it maintain course and not get deflected too much as it rolls through the pins. Sorta like how a golfer puts spin on a shot to counter a strong wind.

5:40 I have to admit... even crankers and high release players aren't guaranteed to strike or even hit their target every time. Watching this segment confirms that. It's kind of a waste of energy to backswing so high, IMHO. You can get good speed and good rotation if you aim better, find your target board, and don't emphasize so frickin' high of a release. If it's your style, then more power to you. Ugh... crankers. I respect your ability, but it doesn't always guarantee you'll hit that pocket.

I still can't deal with watching two handed bowling. Ugh... it's legal by PBA standards but it's just... weird.... Never thought I'd see bowlers needing two hands to get extra rotation. Take a cranker who can rock that ball's rotation and speed with one hand. THAT is what I'm used to seeing. It works, though, for Belmonte and Troup and they are smashing PBA tours with their delivery and release using two hands. I'm old school. 25 year+ bowler. Times are a changin'.
