I had the privilege of bowling with Tony in a pro-am in Cincinnati about a year before his passing. He shot a 300 on the house shot that day. Super cool and nice guy.

I had the honor of bowling with this gentleman in 2006 in a Pro-Am in West Babylon, NY. I have a signed picture with him in my picture drawer somewhere. Tony was the most sincere, awesome guy you’d ever want to meet. He was such a happy, generous person with an infectious, happy personality. Not to mention what a monster bowler he was. When I asked for a pic with him after bowling with him, he didn’t even blink an eye. He happily said “of course!” and gave me that huge smile and pulled me in for the pic. I was devastated when I found out he passed in 2012. He was one of my favorite bowlers ever. He was THE MAN. R.I.P Tony. We all miss you so much brother.

He really is. The both of them are/were (Tony 😢.) The both of them are absolute class acts. I love seeing when the pros with multiple titles lose to new guys on tour and root for them after they get shut out. There’s not too many pros out there like that. PB III is the man.

I had the pleasure of meeting Tony. He came to Columbus Ohio where my grandpa ran a bowling alley and I got my picture with him. One of the nicest people I’ve ever met. God rest his soul. I’ll never forget him.

Two decades ago I went to a pro-am and the alley manager gave us leftover old pins to collect signatures. Mr. Reyes is one of the pros that signed my pin.

This was the 3rd time in history that a PBA athlete shot a 300 by beating another bowler who had already bowled a 300 during the TV finals.

Didn't get to bowl at his level till right before he passed. Never met him but from what I hear from everyone you couldn't say one bad thing about the man. I know he is missed and I can only imagine how many titles he could of won
@AcessDBpro2 жыл бұрын
You may have seen that the announcer stated that this was the 17th, not 18th, TV 300. The reason is that on May 3, 1997, Jason Queen bowled a TV 300 at the ABC (Bud Light) Masters in Huntsville, AL. However, that event was not sanctioned as an official PBA event at the time. In May 2008, the PBA retroactively upgraded the Masters to PBA event status, and statistics for all PBA members were adjusted accordingly. One of those stats, of course, was Queen's 300, so every TV 300 between Queen's achievement and the May 2008 retroactive upgrade (eight total) was shifted back by one. Hope that clears the confusion.
