I've always loved this game! The city is beautiful (before it went too chaos), the music is amazing! The lore was mysterious. The ending was satisfying but sad at the same time

In my opinion, Columbia was far more corrupt than Rapture. But I did enjoy seeing all the cool technology throughout the city.

This was honestly one of the last good FPS's with RPG elements. It was technically perfect. Any other shooter feels dull and repetitive. Gets boring fast. Only FPS that looks cool now is Doom Eternal.

A very big part of the game was the voxaphones and listening to them. I even have a favorite one believe it or not. The one where the leader of the Order of The Raven goes over the explicits of his order and why they do what they do. I get time constraints, but if it were me I would have gone the "100%" route and had the FULL game, and not just the full story. The sound of the recordings was what I liked the old timey quality but no where near as bad as what was possible back then without that. That's that Transdimensional Collaboration at work for ya.

Also every weapon has its purpose . which for a game likes this, works out perfectly. Kind of like half life, you'd choose weapons depending on situation which made it feel more tactical. Other FPSs, generic, repetitive. Every weapon is usually overpowered; weapon types seemed pointless compared to smgs and assault rifles firing rate and range.

I shall never understand this game. I played it once, many years ago. I felt like I enjoyed the gameplay and yet I have never played it a 2nd time and every time I try I stop myself. I know the story is really really bad and the upgrade system sucks and the way you get/lose weapons sucks. I remember getting one gun early in the game and using it through the entire game till the last area where I eventually ran out of ammo and was forced to change to much weaker weapons. Can play bioshock 2 many times over but this one? Just never had that feeling to try a 2nd playthrough

Just started this on Xbox. Little to no instructions as to how to use melee (at the start) and the writing on screen needs a magnifying glass to read. I'm tempted to go back to the other two Bioshock games, which are intuitive but still give you instructions. There's no map, either. Can't see where you haven't visited. I hope this gets better....

My problems with this game. Makes me so mad you can only carry TWO GUNS in this game. Where in the first 2 games you could carry ALL THE GUNS. And every time you die you lose some of the money you find WTF??? and its so hard to have enough money to upgrade your weapons and plasmids cause you don’t have a discount upgrade. Besides that this game was awesome. The story and the setting most of all. I think Columbia is more interesting than Rapture.
