ryans illusion of choice is kinda paradoxical when you consider how his undoing all sprung from him >choosing< to have an affair which created jack in the first place and with ryan telling his son to kill him is just a parent giving his child an order which if they dont follow through with, then theyd be punished which ryan may have killed jack or used his code word for his own gain and to not prove a point which again would be the parent giving the child orders. ryans own choices clouded his judgement and we see that in his slip into tryanny but this part stuck out. people who have affairs always gets burned and with gorland the powers that be always have a way to infiltrate or dismantle something n thats scary

this game series is by far my favourite of all time, the story is so well crafted and playing through infinite + the dlcs for the first time, blind, about a year ago... i cried man, the final wrap up and ending to this franchise is so sad but so relieving as it actually ends and doesn't leave the universe on a massive cliff hanger for fans to theorise, its satisfying. lets just hope that Judas, Ken Levine's next game, lives up to the hype and can bring these types of games back into the AAA gaming spotlight Amazing vid, really made me love this franchise even more that i already did.

Ik right? Like the whole infinite universe thing was cool and existential, but a part of me felt like it lost the plot of the original. Now that it's actually explained tk me, especially the buried at sea dlc, I think I get the gist. There's always a lighthouse. There's always a city. I guess it brings tk light the idea of choice, in bioshock, every ending does happen somewhere. It's actually kinda cool.

'No,' says the man in the Vatican, 'it belongs to God.' 'No,' says the man in Moscow, 'it belongs to everyone.' I rejected those answers. Instead, I chose something different. I chose the impossible. I chose...Rapture! A city where the artist would not fear the censor, where the scientist would not be restrained by petty morality, where the weak would not constrain the strong. And with the sweat of your brow, Rapture can become your city as well." Still one of my favorite monologues in all of video games.

BioShock is my all-time favorite game series. The way it tells the story of infinite possibilities and timelines makes me love the game even more. The concept of multiple realities embodied through the intertwined fates of Elizabeth and Booker adds layers of depth and complexity that keep me coming back to the series. This narrative brilliance, combined with the rich, atmospheric settings of Rapture and Columbia, truly sets BioShock apart in the gaming world. I really hope they bring this concept back in BioShock 4. The potential for exploring new timelines and realities within the same universe is immense, and it opens the door to endless creative possibilities. I'd love to hear other people's theories on the next game if you would kindly share them with me.

I recently completed Burial at Sea and I was pleasantly surprised by how well they connected the two Bioshock worlds together. I always thought it was strange that Ken would call Infinite a Bioshock game and I thought the ending to original release was just a weak connection between the two. The DLC to Infinite made so much sense as far as the vision Ken Levine had for the bigger picture. I also like how it clarified some of the bigger mysteries in both series. For example, why was Rapture beat to shit and run down if the war between Atlas and Ryan had only started within a year of Jack’s arrival or how did Vigors come to be in Columbia if they didn’t have sea slugs in the sky? I’m not sure if it’s true but it convinced me this was the story that Ken had written all along since the beginning of Bioshock Infinite.
