Well it's not always unnecessary comments. Sometimes Jerry point out things that shouldn't been done by companies such as the poor repairability of the S10 series, the unnecessary difficulty to remove the battery of some devices, etc. In terms of the comments he made about politics, I'm also not a big fan of those. @goofycoolguy3 жыл бұрын
Good video, that cable you thought was the fingerprint sensor is actually the S pen digitizer that is located behind the LCD. Also the battery requires iso to sit for a little to be removed, that's why there is no tabs. Plastic playing cards = super easy removal after iso has been applied. They generally don't want to heat the battery ever since the Note 7 incident.
@PBKreviews3 жыл бұрын
Ya iso works but gets messy sometimes and not a common thing an average person would have on hand. Also many phone manufactures use adhesive and pry tabs that don't require heat. You can pull up and pry the battery off fairly easily with no heat so not sure why Samsung refuses to use them. As for the S pen your right, I realized it after the video. :)

I'm SO glad the S21 Ultra Exynos has the graphene vapor chamber, unlike the Note 20 Ultra Exynos, which had... nothing, just a layer of whatever it was to protect the oled panel, while the Note 20 Ultra Snapdragon had a copper plate. What makes the most sense as to why the cable isn't removable, might be because the S21 Ultra *may* have had problems with the flex cable loosening the side it's now soldered onto the screen assembly, but you know, that's just speculation. Any of the ways of removing the moisture are pointless, because that won't help remove any of the corrosion inside from the moisture on the chips or connectors which will eventually lead to the phone shorting and parts not working anymore. Best is to take it apart, disconnect the battery, dry/clean out any moisture or water and then brush off any corrosion around chips or connectors with a small brush like a tooth brush. Nice job! Another method I’ve tried to get the Samsung batteries out is while heating the screen on the heat pad I use a suction cup on the battery, a little ISO alcohol on the right and left gaps of the battery and a plastic pick for the bottom of the battery and that usually works really well for me.

Hi there. I'm wondering, can you tell me if there is anything i can do about the weak and hollow feeling due to the back of this s21 ultra. I noticed before that some units have this issue more than others so surely there must be something i can do by removing and putting the back panel back onto it right ?

Hi, I'm not sure removing it and placing it back on would change anything. Sometimes they leave some room for the battery to be able to expand and contract during charge or use when it heats up to prevent damage to the battery or phone.

It's glued down with some sort of dry in place glue to prevent water or dust getting in. You can pry the camera off but there is a chance of damaging it and rendering that camera useless. If you are replacing it then it wouldn't matter.

@PBKreviews6 ай бұрын
All depends if the motherboard inside is damaged/broken or not. If not, you can put the motherboard into another working screen + frame assembly and make use of it. But you would need it to be working and use a working screen and such to be able to connect to a computer to transfer data.

I was wondering why would a 5G phone be without 5G antennas installed? Is this just for international versions or US as well? Thank you for all your work.
@PBKreviews3 жыл бұрын
There are different kinds of 5G networks. Only the mmWave 5G networks require the additional antenna assembly. Most networks in the world use sub 5G which doesn't use those antenna, so that's why some versions will be missing those antennas since the region it is sold in does not use that type of 5G network. Hmm. Not too sure, if you reset everything and still doing that, only thing I can think of would be the sim reader is damaged or a resistor or chip got damaged on the board but if the sim reader was damaged it would just say no sim.
