I've had to replace a S21 Ultra battery recently. Theres a good trick to getting it out without prying with metal. Put the LCD facing down on the heat plate at 80c for 2m, right after you remove it from the heatplate, spray a little isopropyl at the bottom and try to wiggle it to spread and at the same time, Use a standard suction cup found in the pro tech toolkit and gently pull it up using it back and forth without applying much pressure and use a ifixit pick at the same time as well to try and lift the bottom area first to get and slice through the adhesive. This worked wonders for me. The only issue was cleaning the residue adhesive on the actual battery itself. I'm a 20yr old Bundaberg Aussie who has just started a mobile repair business thanks to all the inspiration you gave me from watching your videos.

How much temperature and time to heat up the frame to remove the LCD screen. A quick reply will be highly appreciated.

@@angelesworld3855 Hey, 1. If the replacement housing does not include it, yes, you will need to transfer them. If its a panel on its own, most likely not. 2. Fun fact: The OEM framed screen assemblies that Samsung sells to authorized independent service partners usually include a battery already stuck down in place. This means that during a screen repair, the original battery does not need to be removed from the original frame. This makes that once-difficult part of a screen repair a thing of the past. The battery can be removed from the old frame later for recycling. The customer gets a brand new official battery with their new screen, so their phone is like brand new. That's Samsung's own way of saying, "yeah, that bit's a pain".

Plastic back, No SD card slot, no headphone jack and 1080p display. 5 years ago this would have been a $400 midrange phone. I mean the SoC is a high end one, but by now they have made those octa cores for 6 years or so, so at this point they should be ultra cheap to produce and qualcomm probably just artificially keeps the prices high.
@FirstnameLastname-yh5fb4 жыл бұрын
@@Tom2404 some of that could hold some truth but processor manufacturers also aim to make thinner and thinner nm. Both increasing manufacturing cost and performance.
@buddystudio64 жыл бұрын
The reason why chipset are still expensive is because they always improve it, gives new features if they can, then try to make it smaller each year. Which is not easy. This is why most mid-range chipset stays the same manufacturing size before it reached flagship's size. Because it's new that it's not easy. Also they need to test the chipset and make sure there is no problem. Honestly I don't think S21 is that bad, yeah the lack of dual sim is what worried me (but I heard that other countries variant support dual sim, indonesia included). I always used two sims, one for internet and one for account. For storage.. i think that's enough, you probably won't reached the storage limit anyway. If you're a people who will take extra high quality photos/videos, you should probably get S21 Ultra because of the camera. And I believe S21 Ultra have SD Card (might differ from different countries).

@@DistrosProjects to be fair they added a third year of software feature support starting with the s20 line instead of just 2 years so that was a step in the right direction. but I agree, if they wanna compete for the same kind of customer they need to get some more of their features.
