I’m a retired brickie and you talking about being cold just brings back memories of when I was serving my time standing on the scaffold with the east wind howling in right beside the sea no shelter whatsoever temperature just above freezing so we were told to work 55 years later and I can still remember how cold I was I walked about a mile home to try and get my circulation going but no avail thank goodness we had a coal fire in those days instant hot water into the bath and eventually got my temperature regulated, it taught me that only on an urgent job would I stay out in extreme cold weather

You had jobs that were not urgent? Sounds like a good time.

Those large Diaphragm Valves on the suction side next to the Tanks should be GONE and replaced with Full Bore Ball Valves as those are a serious restriction of the Flow, to that suction side of new booster set...that being said also a large Y strainers down stream each of same might also be required to catch any of the rubbish that could come from those really old tanks...just a suggestion...Great Work Lads...

17:52 That had me nervous. I suppose with the temps a person has some extended work time on those fittings. I see too many guys get in a pickle when all the elbows are not on the same plane. I don't envy the rework that will be required when I assume the cast pipe has to be abandoned. Such is life though. Hope things work, and prepare for when it doesn't.
