Bodacious being considered the most dangerous bull in the world and retired in his prime because there was fear he was gonna kill someone should've earned him the number 1 slot. That big boy was straight-up homicidal!

This list is about the rankest bulls and Bodacious isn't the rankest. His popularity and reputation lead people to think he was ranker than he was. Dillinger, Little Yellow Jacket, and Bushwacker are in a class of their own.

@@lindseyormsbee Hello, because I'm not a fan of Rodeos, but I've watched a few, so watching Bodacious down through the years have changed my mind, I've never seen anything like him, and although he's not considered the rankest bull and probably long gone hmmm, so I ask with respect, what does rankest mean, because I agree with @CapitolRegionResponseVideos, This bull caused a championship rider ( Tuff who I love ) to get off of him, and many other's to be seriously injured and the way he leaped up in the air out of the gate riders were coming off of him, to be retired in his prime, when many of these bulls were able to get old in the sport says a lot, when I think of Bull riding in a rodeo only one bull still comes to mind today Bodacious 2023 kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4fElmuOhZussNk kzbin.info/www/bejne/mXi7lWSspp17jMU kzbin.info/www/bejne/b2aoiJaahKmSp5Y kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3bPfHqHZZiEbbc kzbin.info/www/bejne/gImZYX6rZbahnrM kzbin.info/www/bejne/jqW2o5-cmNeMbNU kzbin.info/www/bejne/eX6nk6BvbKt7bac kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYbRhIuOp9N6bZo . The cowboys do have a point though, it's very easy to train a bull that has a 100% buckoff rate, not as easy to train a bull that earns high bull scores, entertain the audience, gives the cowboys a slim chance to get a ride if they perform extremely well and yields very high scores the few times they are ridden I'd rather have a bull that bucks off 80-85% of the riders and gets killer bull scores and most of the rides scoring in the 90's than a bull that has a 90+% buckoff rate but finishes outside the top 5 in the World Championship Bull Standings

I’m going with Red Rock. Never went after a rider once he was off. Sometimes took a little victory lap for the crowd before going back to the chute. Undefeated until they brought his geriatric butt out of retirement but even then was able to drop a world champion over 50% of the time. Outsmarted the cowboys by doing the opposite of what they were planning. A bull with brains. But my FAVORITE fact about him is that, deep down, he was a kind soul. He never tried to hurt his opponent after defeating them. He’d let kids sit on him and be as gentle as a lamb. A real life Ferdinand the Bull. Mean, hard bucking bulls are a dime a dozen…intelligent, kind bulls with good sportsmanship like Red Rock are one in a billion.
@michaelcorey4793
@michaelcorey4793 Жыл бұрын
Not exactly geriatric butt.....world champion in 1987, lost to Lane Frost 4-3 in the Challenge of the Champions in 1988. I agree that Red Rock was the smartest bull that ever graced the Rodeo arena, its great to here Lane talk about the head games going back and forth between him and Red Rock during the challenge. Lane was bucked off Red Rock during the 1985&86 NFR but came back and won 3 of the last 4 events to win the challenge. I still think Red Rock having retired undefeated 309-0,and been in the NFR all 4 years has got to put him near the top of any bull rankings....

@@WilderhopeAdventures I don't ride bulls or claim any insight. From a lay person's eye, he didn't do a drastic head throw. His strength on the drop, along with the natural upward movement of the head for the next jump was the issue. That's how I see it. His retirement was the right move, because it was a deadly combination of factors. It's not been repeated, because of the power required to pull it off. Riders praise the bulls that they scored well on, but Bo was the reason there is a PBR today. He made the sport, and the cowboys caught up in popularity.

I looked at him(no idea who he was) and I thought "Who's this guy think he is all duded up?" Bodacious was easy to figure out when you know what to do with them unless he gets a little smart on you then you got a problem. Best thing to do is just slide down put your legs under his horns and straight back and try to watch which way you think his head gonna turn and you gotta have lightning reflexes cause it could be a trick. He could flip the other way or not turn it all but most likely he’s probably about to turn that way so you’re going to wanna lay your body to the opposite way that he’s turning why you’re straight back with your legs right under his horns with your Pushes tight away from his head from your body as you can be and if you just gotta fall off, you just fall off don’t get brave. Don’t feel like you no more just understand. Hey, I might just have to take a nail on this one and just Get off fastest way possible before he bucks back up if you did make a mistake and trying to read his movements

I mentioned this in the description. This was made and aired on a TV channel that isn't around anymore in 2003. I just uploaded it for recreational viewing

To me, Bodacious was the Micheal Jordan of bull riding. Would have loved to see what he could have done had he not been forced to retire

From old Mexico to the first nfr in 1959 to now ok great bucking bulls here from 94 to now and never before has been a list of all the great bucking bulls and bull riders so these ten match any but here is where it came from and everyone is hero to Lane Frost and 007 red rock and they were incredible Lane Frost should be here in person spirit always is and 171 mrt is the rankest bull Lane Frost said he ever got on two times and mrt was a 48 bull to 49 each time so he rides mrt 4848 96 point score Jim sharp if rode mrt he would have been the only one that cover MRT at nfr he was not rode at the nfr 84 to 90 and Jim sharp rode as good as anyone ever not better Jim razor man blink sharp rode perfect almost no perfect bull or rider cover bull no perfect bull bucks off no perfect,4949 a 98 point score is the limit one time Denny Flynn rode red lighting 98 point score 49 rider 49 bull a true score no 100 comic book Butch Kirby and Sandy Kirby marked it so well done one ride beats it and ask many veterans in pro rodeo and bull riding Troy Dunn and pacific bell was a 48 bull a 49 rider a 97 point score nfr in 1991 tenth go round 8.2 second s 91 was the first three seconds not score Billy red and Tommy Kieth new it was a mistake that next day first place and second was 85 and it was all of a 46 bull 183 Rickey big charbray 2150lbs rank eliminator Jim sharp rode Rickey and Norman curry 94 point score and Jim sharp rode Rickey 46 bull rider a 47 a 93 points is right nfr tenth go round 1991 Jim sharp second place and third Cody Custer and wolfman a 94 point score no way power jump lunges and turn back left in to hand flat spin 11 rounds 46 bull rider 46 92 point score third place and if you know bull riding and bucking bulls watch nfr in 1991 tenth go round and you will see true ateam rank pen and eliminator pen and fast spinner and watch Troy Dunn and Jim sharp rode 1800 lbs brindle 14 pacific bell he set rope back 6 inches behind hump and snug enough not to slip let him have it reset hips and move out over the front end of the bull run knees up let him have it reset hips and move get out over the front end and Jim sharp set rope back 6 to 8 inches behind hump and snug enough not to slip if they run rope as far for ward as possible and hock it in jerk rope out of hand if lucky but the power jump hop Skip rare drop kick power heels will click and bam bam and Rickey 309 out rode two times the two Jim sharp and Norman curry and 183 Rickey big charbray is half brother to j31 bo they look alike buck alike and Jim watch Rickey power jump hop Skip rare drop kick power move ment cover lots of ground and he studder step big power jump drop kick power rare before front feet hit the ground he's rare 3 feet if rope was not get back rare as get out over the front end bam drop bam and pacific bell was rank eliminator and fast exploded out power jump drop kick power roll away from the hand half round right rare drop kick power roll in to hand rare 4 feet drop kick power move ment rare3 feet drop kick power move ment cover lots ground turn back right hop Skip rare drop kick power move ment turn back six rounds right into Troy's hand rolled in to hand one time in turn back and rolled away from the hand five times in the turn back right in to hand and rolled away most only a right hand rider is cover pacific bell on this out he did it all 91 first three seconds and 97 point score but same thing happened to don gay three times and 59 out in 79 noone got close to riding 777 volds brindle bull a big brindle bull 777 harry vold and he was rode four times in 78 buy Doug brown world champion bull rider 90 point score and Denny Flynn rode 777 for a 88 nfr average winner and john quinta rode sevens for 89 and Butch Kirby rode sevens for a 87 in 78 1700 lbs left hand delivery power jump turn back left but by 7980 he was 59 out in 79 noone got close and two worlds champions I said Butch Kirby and Don gay he was the first bull of year to get a reputation jerk down riders drop power 1825 lbs brindle bull 777 volds first back to back bull of year 7980 he was exploded out power jump hop Skip rare drop power move ment cover lots of ground and turn back left side drop and straight drop and rolled away and in to hand a 44 to a 49 bull Bobby Steiner the world champion bull rider in 1973 was best at the bull riding terminology and noone could get by the hop Skip rare drop kick power jerk down riders reputation like j31 bo had 15 years later and Bobby Steiner told Butch next time set rope back 6 inches and snug enough not to slip and in nfr in 80 first go round Butch Kirby and 777 world champion bull rider vs two times world champion bull and it work out good exploded out power jump hop Skip rare drop power kick power move ment cover lots of ground and turn back left five rounds and rolled away from hand twice 8.9 for a 90 point score and watch it and 47 bull rider a 47 a 94 point score and Lyle sanky in 81 did it so there's ways and Denny Flynn rode red lighting 98 point score and Butch Kirby rode red lighting a 95 point score and even rides just great bucking bulls and bull riders and ten from past prca PBR bro cbr ok 1 to 10 I will match up 44 to a 49 bull 🐂 all ten one to ten now 14 pacific bell and 11 red lighting and 777 and 171 mrt and dell halls 105 and when Tommy Steiner own savage seven s 7 8182 bull of year 17 general isamo and unforgiven and 018 cowtown and last so many tie 19 grasshopper and tahonta and tornado dozen all world champion bucking bulls ok later on then Clint Kirby

How smart are bulls? Do they know they are competing to get the rider off or is it primarily instinct to get the cowboy off?
